ОтветитьReally nice tutorial, covers many aspects to make the whole thing feel polish. Could we get more tutorials in the future that cover character interaction and syncing animations, much like what you have here.
I think it’s a large enough topic to cover more in-depth, and there isn’t too many tutorials out there for it.

ОтветитьThe stealth takedown execution instantly snaps the AI's location to face a certain direction. In your video you only did it from one direction (while the ai is walking towards that specific wall). How would you handle not changing the rotation of the enemy so this doesnt happen?

ОтветитьHey! This tutorial is something I was looking to find for so long. The only thing I did not learn from your tutorial is how to create/setup the two parts of the animation. I am familiar with animation software and I am producing the animations for my team's games and we wanted to put in 'sync'd' animations like this sort. This tutorial shows us how to get it working in Unreal from the coding aspect, and looking at how you controlled it you have two separate animations which I already deduced from logic. My question is, how do you produce the two separate animation halfs? My main point of contention is obviously you animate them in the same scene in your preferred animation software, but does the two animations share an offset origin, or do you just have to work it out via unreal units in the code like you were doing with the 60-160 units?

ОтветитьThis is awesome! Best tutorials I have come across, the detail is AAA quality! I really can not wait for your tutorial series on melee combat! It covers so much, It would be awesome if you guys did a tutorial series on AI scheduling, like in Skyrim where the NPC's essentially have routines they do throughout the day :) There are tonnes of tutorials on AI and getting them to attack, defend, etc. But there is NONE on setting up some non - hostile AI who just goes about their daily routine and you can interact with or attack and they might flee or fight back. Would be extremely awesome and something not done before - Heck id even pre-order that series!
