When I first saw the teaser trailer for this game, I thought Eggman was not going to be in this game because of him being stuck in the white void in the previous game, but when I played this game I was in for disappointment that Eggman was which makes no sense. This game never explained how Eggman escaped the white void. Knuckles was just as disappointing as he was in Generations due to how he was written, the villains were bland, the characters were poorly written, and Sonic should not have short quills and a run cycle.

The characters feel a lot more in their own skin. Sonic being impatient down to being impulsive and knuckles being less dumb dumb and also seeing sonic as irresponsible and reckless aligns with what i love about them the most.
