Thank You I have been looking for a very long time as to which way was which to be sure I was doing it correctly. Your guide was super helpful.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьOkay but is it up for winter down for summer are the ones that go side to side is it left for summer right for winter that's what I need
ОтветитьThe question is, do we leave it running if there's no one in the room?
ОтветитьMany years ago, Consumer Report debunked the effectiveness of running the fan backwards.
And if you search online, you can find a graduate study from Harvard on this very subject. It also concludes that running the fan backwards uses more energy to get the same destratification.
Never knew you could do that
ОтветитьWell i was 37 years old when i found this out…
ОтветитьThank you!!!!
ОтветитьMy vents are all on the floor so it feels like pulling air up makes my house feel better. Or at least I thought now I’m wondering if it’s just in my head… 🙄🤦♂️
ОтветитьThis was the best video on this subject, good instructions easy to understand thanks!
ОтветитьAmazing how many don’t realize this….. it makes a huge difference
Ответитьbro i didnt even realize it was going the wrong way until the end of summer and i used the switch
ОтветитьThank you my husband and I had this argument and I was right 😂
ОтветитьWell. I have two fans, and it's not clockwise or counter-clockwise since they are opposite. It's about the blades; do they cut up (rotate with the higher side gong first) or cut down? Cut up for cooling, cut down for warming.
ОтветитьVisiting this house with dang-gone
"Casablanca" fan... Incomprehensible controls...only 1
chain...fan runs at 2 way-too-fast speeds...with the light alternating
on and off...what the heck is going
on here?!?
Thank you sir good thing my little brother figured it out lol I wasn’t home at the time he told me my room was hot so he fixed the fan he’s 13-14 idk tbh lol I’m 24..
ОтветитьWell, blade pitch is not so common to most people, but that forward and reverse switch is either up or down. Down for summer or up for winter. Some people live in a warm climate location so may never have to push the switch to the up (winter position)
ОтветитьMy switch goes left to right…
ОтветитьThank you!!!! Such a difference.
ОтветитьThank you for a simple explanation!
ОтветитьI was replacing the pull switch, pulling all the wires I noticed the housing of this switch that goes up and down was broken, with tge springs in it separated. Now do I have to replace it or the fan and lights still work?
ОтветитьNice but I still need like 3 fans to cool my room down the ceiling fan and floor fan are not enough
ОтветитьThank you! You’re one of the only people who explained it according to how the fan blades are oriented. Thank you thank you 😊
ОтветитьSo would I leave the switch down for the summer n switch it up for the winter?
Ответить💛🫡🫢🤭Ild WAZ ACTUALLY LOOKIN FOR A DISSECTION for the CEILING FAN & came abtEDLY so UPON DHIZ PALZEIS TOY ROFLAmu on which way the dissertation usage directionalWAY2$h@j|_/l da face and MY FODg yall actally XPLAINED2me unbleievabley fr8tly G faulty wise thanks youaBYD 😮
ОтветитьThank you very much⚘️
ОтветитьThanks 😊😊😊🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
ОтветитьMy son has a loft bed and I'm not sure what to do to keep it cooler up higher in the summer/warmer up high in the winter. Would I want do the opposite of what it says in this video? Help please! TIA.
ОтветитьMy question is the heat rises so why do you want it downdraft? And the cold sinks so why do you want it updraft?
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьYou have this backwards… summer is counterclockwise which is blades spinning left, winter, blades spinning to the right. Both can make someone think it’s a difference just due to the nature of air moving. The real idea here is to displace cool air or hot air on one direction or the other. Not just blow air onto someone to “create” the idea of cooling. It’s all about displacing air.
Ответитьyeah this doesnt help, our switch goes left to right not up and down
ОтветитьClarification. Now I know counter clockwise is for summer. And clockwise is for winter. The blade explanation helped me understand. Thank you.
ОтветитьI've always thought counter clockwise is for winter. Now I know. Thank you.
ОтветитьUntil I found you,I've been doing it all wrong!!! Thank you for putting it in lamens terms ❤
ОтветитьI flipped that switch and something blew out😢
ОтветитьAwesome thanks
ОтветитьThis is wrong! For summertime, your fan needs to rotate counter-clockwise. For winter you can clockwise motion is okay, but he is explaining it the wrong way ...
ОтветитьImagine yourself having this conversation with your toxic baby mama ...
ОтветитьThanks your input did help tons brother. I just subscribed.
ОтветитьJust did that. It doesn’t heater anything!
ОтветитьAll this time I had my damn fan going the wrong way?!?!?! Omg life changing. Wondered why my room was always the warmest in the house 🤦🏾♀️
ОтветитьI tried turning the warmer on but its still feels cold in my room, i turn the switch up
ОтветитьBut I still don’t know which rotation is which???
ОтветитьQ: What speed would best be used for efficiency? Is too little speed a bad thing say for the winter time.
Thanks!
hi when I move the knob to summer mode it does not work, but it does in winter mode. Any ideas?
ОтветитьI see this fan is an Emerson Traditional Snugger; I can tell because of the blade tips. I wonder when they made the fan with antique brass motor and white blades, or were the blades purchased separately.
ОтветитьThank you❤
