I’m very new to rock climbing so I like the jugs a lot but I’m also exited to learn and get better with all the other holds me and my friend were just at our local gym and we’re having a ton of fun trying to figure out how to hold all the different holds, this was very useful thanks

I just went to my first indoor rock climbing gym with friends. I've never climbed before, so I learned a lot very fast. I was able to get to a tough V1 with what I now know as a crimp I couldn't manage. I'll be back in the gym next week now that I know what to do!

Just in case anyone was wondering, when Micheal was counting with his fingers he made a 🤙 kind of gesture when he got to 6. This is because in Chinese culture they use that hand gesture to represent six, since it’s similar to the character for it.

At the age of 58, I've taken up sport climbing... indoor for now but looking forward to availing myself of some of local and regional NorCal crags.

I've been making steady progress in the 4 months that I've been at it and can confidently climb a number of 10a/b routes in the gym... depending, that is, on the specifics of the holds that I can work with.

I've purchased a number of books on climbing but the treatment of holds is very light. This video was a nice introduction into the categorization and basic approach to holds.

I just started climbing and came across a transition from a heel hold into an overhang pinch, maaaaan I slipped off like Bambi on ice 🤣 are you supposed to push into the pinch in overhang or just pinch as hard as you can
