What should be presented is how HUD and other static elements (thin lines especially) look like.

So can I use my native 1920x1080 and upscale it to 2k? just by enabling this on my 6600XT?

So this might be a dumb question but just wanted to double check. So basically if I have a 1440 monitor I would set the settings to 1080p and I would still get 1440p image quality with faster frame rate if I was using rsr?

Interesting, because im looking at it now with my mouse over the ? and it states at the end "choose a higher than native resolution to take advantage of VSR" not lower the resolution in game.

rsr is for 2k or more to having 1080p in good quality, because below 1080 is so bad

I have a laptop Lenovo Ryzen 5 3500u
With my "game settings" resolution at 720p, and scaling at 0.
With VSR active and native changed to 3200x1800 from 1080p.
I get clearer image quality because of the natural Anti-aliasing of VSR, than if I were to,
just run 1080p , scale to 720p , and have 100% res. scaling.
But the performance is now insanely smooth. So I run scaling at 80%

2k and "RSR 4k" doesn't look much different, and RSR is using around 60W more of power. And there should be an option to what resolution scale to. If i'd like to scale to 2k from 1080p, I don't want to lower screen resolution in windows from 4k all the time.

RSR doesn't work on laptops without a MUX switch and even if I disable the laptop display and connect a display directly to the HDMI port(connecting to the dGPU 5500M) of my laptop, there's still no option for RSR.

DISAPPOINTED.

If you change resolution it tends to change the speed at which you move your mouse too so which resolution will it feel like you are using in that sense?

How is everyone getting on with the new software?, I had to revert back to the previous version due to temps. Under the same conditions, same game I always play saw 15c increase in temps and nothing had changed. RSR was also disabled and all I did was update the software.

5700 xt + 2k Monitor

I have just tested it on Hunt Showdown.
I now have 140 fps instead of 80 with high settings.
But it looks really horrible.
Unfortunately not recommended.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I used my 6600xt to play elden ring upscaled from 2k to 4k on high settings. It looks amazing and it feels even smother than just native 2k somehow. To me they basically gifted me a 3080 and I shall use this 6600xt to the absolute max. I do own a 1080p 144hz screen as well as a back up.

WCCFTECH in the house. I tasted in my RX5500xt 4gb and I love it, because I am playing Eldering at 1080p medium, because the card doesn't provide 60fps at that resolution but now at 1080p with RSR looks like 1440p but with FPS like in 1080p.

you think that when I activate the new RSR technology amd I have a 4k screen and usually I do game in original 2k and when RSR and activate it tells me that the resolution and in 4k then it's are better than original 2k I have miserable to see the difference but I think it's more beautiful in virtual 4k than normal 2k when I activate the Radeon Software Adrenalin RSR...what do you think I should gamer in RSR in virtual 4k instead of the original 2k

Honestly, so far, my favorite use case for RSR is when using RTGI with reshade as FSR can sometimes create depth buffer issues. Since RSR is applied at the very end (after reshade even) it helps get clean upscaling without any excess banding or artifacts applied to the reshade profile 👍

Edit: after messing around with it more I've noticed it still is applied before reshade and can screw with Z buffer access still but I've had better luck with it more frequently than RIS or in-game fsr.

My brother uses his computer on a 4K TV and he is so excited about this! :) generally I don't really require RSR as my 6600XT plays well with native 1440p most of the time. But in case of my brother's livingroom setup 1440p at normal viewing distance with RSR or FSR is all it takes to leave a very convincing 4K-like image. :)
