Thank you so much. And for answering everyone’s questions. You are SO HELPFUL!!
Bless you!
Definitely need to see what you did to get to that point.
Ответитьspray foam the inside with architectural closed cell foam. boom it would be insulated very well
ОтветитьDam! Great training video.
ОтветитьAny kind of concrete specific
ОтветитьPerfect, I have a cottage with a 2' crawlspace, I enclosed it with plywood and a tyvek air barrier, this will give it that basement look I wanted, great idea using felt paper first to shed water.
ОтветитьWould chicken wire & mixed concrete(or what you used) be another option for a circle retaining wall around a fire pit?
ОтветитьParge the lath
ОтветитьThis works better then quick drying concrete using bonding agents.
ОтветитьGreat video, but I need the nail pattern and size of nails and or do u nail in the field
ОтветитьThanks for sharing and I appreciate your reply given us the type of mortar mix.
ОтветитьVery good explanation. I just wish you showed how you applied the mesh. 👍👍👍
Ответитьhand me my patching trowel
ОтветитьVery good instructional video.
ОтветитьDo you have to use mesh? I seen a couple videos where they're just doing a stucco finish on cinder block and didn't use mesh... I was trying to figure out if I should try it out
ОтветитьNicely done my man East Coast Rules ! I almost hired a guy, till I saw this. I had the wrong mesh at 1st and knew nothing of the black felt.
Thank you
Good vid... but really you didn't show shhit 🤷🏽. No before and after? And where is the veneer? Show the stones atleast. Give us a real tip where we can learn from. Take care🔥💪🏽
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial Sir, I'm going to go and do exactly what you did in this video. Thank you again.
ОтветитьI have one mason that will do it this way.(amish man) Then, I have another mason that wants to remove the paint since our foundation was previously painted, and proceed with stone.
Both Mason's say their way is the right way to do it, AND.... if it was my house this is how I would do it. Both ways are different though? Got any comments for me?
I have a customer that has parging on a insulated foundation. Its cracked and crumbling, some spots you can see the foam insulation. She wants this redone. Could I just appl felt paper right over the old stuff and then put the wire mess on top?
ОтветитьThanks for the video
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьI can't get premixed stone veneer mortar mix in my local stores - do you have a good recipe for creating an equivalent - I have read so many variations that I don't know who to trust.
ОтветитьThx bud for the video.👍👍
ОтветитьNice job the work and explaining. I like seeing this. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video! Very helpful. What mortar mix would you recommend for this? I’m going to Ramset the mesh against an existing concrete foundation then use the mortar over that as you have shown.
ОтветитьWOW THAT INFORMATION ABOUT THE MORTAR FALLING OUT WAS WORTH WATCHING THIS VIDEO...30 YEARS IN CONSTRUCTION AND I DID NOT KNOW THAT!!!!! THANKS!!!
ОтветитьI'm going to be doing a parging job soon and I was just wondering if you need something to back up the wire or will it stick without it
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThank you for the training
ОтветитьSucks
ОтветитьDo I detect a newfie accent?
ОтветитьThat mesh secret is key. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьAwesome !! Working on a job like that now , but indoor fireplace . Never knew that about the mesh !! Very good , nice explaining detail for specifics
ОтветитьThanks so much for this video! What kind of backer board should i use? Also, is it only connected to the ground or screwed to the house? Do you worry about ground expansion in winter? Sorry just can't find these answers anywhere
ОтветитьWhat’s the best way to attach the mesh directly to brick?
ОтветитьWhat i want to do is place this wire mesh on dirt and cover it. Keeping ground hogs from digging holes around the house also in the yard. Then place pavements. Is this a good idea?
ОтветитьWhen do you need to use wire mesh opposed to just mortar? For instance I’m wanting to put a stone veneer on the exterior base of my home, it’s raw exposed cinder block. Do I need to use wire mesh?
ОтветитьWhen you say wooden ply. You mean frame it with 2x4s then add plywood to the framing then black felt?
ОтветитьUse a hawk. Don't work out of a mud box on the ground. Work smarter not harder.
ОтветитьIf i'm doing this over an existing brick wall that's crumbling in areas, would you place the wire mesh directly against the brick so it can adhere in the cracks/crevices or would you still use the fabric behind it?
ОтветитьAlways nice to see a fellow masons techniques, keep up the great work!
ОтветитьHow do you mix the stucco
ОтветитьIs there anything different I have to do if I want to do this over an extruded foam foundation?
ОтветитьGood information
ОтветитьGood video I'm going to do the exact same skirting to my house I got last year, do you use the same morter as you would for brick laying?
ОтветитьJust what I was searching for! Wish I could buy you a burger! Thank you!
ОтветитьThe Bob Ross of construction I love it
ОтветитьThanks for the info, much appreciated.
