ОтветитьHmmm....I want to add a step and throw it in the smoker after the Mac & Cheese is in the pan, but before the crunch goes on top. Thirty minutes in the smoker, add the crunch, then fifteen in the oven?

ОтветитьCan someone explain to me why ppl put crunchy stuff on top of Mac n cheese? I just don't care for it. I don't want sand like texture on top of my Mac n cheese. Mac n cheese to me should be smooth and creamy. Crumbs on top ruins that imo. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?(no offense meant to those that like it. More power to you. I'm just saying I don't get the appeal) I don't even like melted cheese on top that's browned with the broiler.
ОтветитьThe oven baking really is what takes it above and beyond. I always miss it since I don't have an oven in my apartment so I end it after the pot is done. I haven't tried onions though so I'll have to use those next time.

ОтветитьI think I am the only person who doesnt particularly like mac n cheese. I just dont get the hype. It's not delicious, it's pretty blah. I had it once with truffles and that was better, but I wouldn't bother ordering it again.

Slight amount of cracked black pepper (again, enriches the cheese... dont add too much)
Crushed potato chips, cheddar, shredded mozarella cheese on top
