Im a bit confused on the DNS section, can you help me find it?

I recently purchased a dedicated IP from a VPN provider. The IP was then set up on a server. For some reason the VPN stopped working even though I had paid for it. I traced the IP address and found the ISP who owned it. My question is, is it possible for me to connect that IP address to my computer to connect to the server. Without that IP I’m basically screwed.

Hello!, thank you for the tutorial, my Delima is trying to find my ip address of a WLED controller (esp32 with ethernet).
With and etherent connection I do cmd --> ipconfig --> but the ipv4 address is show just blank after the " : "., so Im stumped.
I'm trying to achieve a local link from my computer when no DHCP or internet is available.
Can I go this route setting static ip's on any WIFI router / managed switch?
or managed switch then the switch automatically assigns ip's and I can type it into the browser and achieve functionality.

a helpful Video, but it would only affect the local network configuration and not the IP address assigned by the ISP. This means that while the computer or any other device will have a static IP address within the local network, the IP address visible to the internet will still be assigned by the ISP and could change over time

why so fast, what windows are you using, cos i have not got any of what you say on windows 10

I have problem. There is nowhere DNS adresses in my router settings. Is there a way to find them other way?

I am still confused over the button that says Add new static lease. Should I press it?

Is this only for private ip address, or does this also apply to public addresses?

My Default Gateway and IPv4 adress are differen than the IP Adresses of the connected devices

I am trying to get static ip address to get into "PlayStation partners" development program, its needed to put your games on psn store.. If this not it then how?

I am trying to have 2 tablets usb tethered to my PC for sim racing dash boards, the first one always connects fine but the second one always has a problem and the IPv4 is always changing. Is this what I need to do to fix this?
