I have also Noticed thzt the water isn't as good as in dx12. The overall look of it is so much better in 12, there is a lot more interaction with your boat and the. Biggest thing were possibly the waves. There were no waves in dx11 whereas 12 made very good use of their resources.

ОтветитьPlay it with DX 11, DX 12 dropped my fps from 110 to 35. Maybe in a few years it will be better, but it 's stupid to play a downgraded version of the game with a 3080 TI.
ОтветитьThis video is somewhat wrong now , since both dx 11 and dx12 have HBAO+ in this video its just turned off in dx11 so it looks worse, but still the new next gen dx11 has low performance and 1.32 has much better performance BUT the anti aliasing... ouch even on my 1440p monitor aliasing is very bad

ОтветитьWith 3090 dx 11 ultra+ 1440p 120hz vsync is very smooth and uses like 160w sth like this
With dx12 no rt all ultra dlss quality uses like 380w and 90 fps to 100
With rt ultra it drops 72 to 48. Mostly 60 tho.
Dlss and fsr makes vegetation look bad on dx 12 while dx 11 with tauu the vegetation looks very good. Using it on dx 12 kills fps

Ответитьlmao no difference in terms of graphics and render distance. Only difference here is gamma brightness is higher on dx11
ОтветитьTrust me, DX 12 performance hit is not worth it at all. Try DX 11, Use some mods, You will still get 60 FPS while having a gorgeous game. Why sacrificr 30/40% FPS just for shading and foliage which unless you compare, not notice anyway.

ОтветитьIt's basically hbao + wich Was later added. So if you don't need dlss or rt better use the dx11 version with a nativ resolution. I can run dx11 at 4k max without a drop under 60. At the dx12 version dllss is needed at my end.

Hell, DX12 + DLSS2/FSR2 Quality is less than 75% the speed of DX11.
I simply cant agree lol? DX 12 looking the same as DX11. I just run into WEIRD performance problems on DX12 which I never had on DX11.

whats now when hbao+ is back? unless you use rt+dlss/fsr in some combo dx12 looks pointless with dx11todx12 wrapper
Ответитьbut performance drop around 30-40%, so you get under 60fps on 6600xt and lower with ultra+. also dx12 adds ray tracing and fsr/dlss

Ответитьi cant sadly launch dx 11, i have some problems in redlauncher so i cant even run game on dx 11, and i really need fps. im playin in 50 fps on lowest settings with rtx 2060 super, simply bad optimalization. but can somebody help me with launching the game with dx 11 please?

Ответитьyeah but in my case fps difference is much bigger than graphic difference. I have 170 fps in classic and only 100 in next gen. Im playing in 1440p ultra. Nah, i will pass with this not optimized mess and stay with classic tw3 on mods (which also looks much better).

ОтветитьDLSS is better than native in some cases because the super sampling technique makes the edges much smoother while increasing performance significantly. I was honestly thinking about trying the game in dx11 to compare the differences but unfortunately, and it might be due to mods, but when the game comes up all i see is the minimap and the different HUD icons, but see black screen otherwise
ОтветитьI got similar problem after updating it and playing on DX12, but I got better result on FPS with DX12
when I tried to play with DX11, the game started to stutter every few minutes and fps drop ofc, drop to 20-30 on novigrad, while with DX12 I got more than 40+ with the same setting.
I play on budget gaming laptop, I5 9th gen 1650 max q 16GB RAM and I put the game on 1TB HDD
I've looked at some comparisons and even while using the new HBAO+ mod on DX11 it still doesn't look as good as DX12. I don't really see why they removed HBAO+ in dx11 though as it was clearly a downgrade. That being said I think the way moving forward is to focus on DX12 as the definitive way to play Witcher 3 assuming your hardware can handle it.

Game is pretty unplayable at the moment.
The only difference that I see is that AO looks turned off in DX11 shots while it works on my side.

ОтветитьThe biggest change you notice here is the lack of HBAO+ in DX11, which baffles me. In the DX12 version I cannot turn off the kill feed, its just not there in the settings anymore and its the only game where FSR actually causes worse performance for whatever reason. In the DX11 version I cant turn off sharpening, it always stays on low no matter what I do...

ОтветитьRemoval of HBAO greatly reduced graphics quality on non RT version. Please do a comparison between vanilla with HD texture mod + hbao and the last gen version
ОтветитьFrom my own experience (and Digital Foundry's) the biggest culprit seems to be uneven loads on CPU cores. Meaning some cores are heavily loaded and MOST cores are not. Essentially, our CPUs are gimped. That shouldn't have happened. And, if they knew about it and released it anyway... that's pretty shitty. Jus' sayin'. I hope I'm not the only one tired of publishers pushing out incomplete games, updates, whatever. This trend needs to die a quick death.
