Btw..there was a genocide in Armenia but none survived. It's like how black Americans of American heritage are slowing being wiped out but no one will know it because once you're born here you're American but they aren't " the first blacks" who are the target of the genocide.

Wow and I was thinking how bad they could be in terms of lying after the 6 million exaggeration. How would they even exist as an ethnicity today if the Ottoman Government had decided to eradicate them all? They were controlling all the territories Armenians were living in.

As a muslim it was shocking for me the first time I read about it. Sometimes I think the ottoman empire should have been dissolved after the death of Suleiman the Magnificent, because it has always remained a sick man of Europe after his death, with incompetent leaders and corrupt officials vying for power. May the souls of those poor humans rest in peace.

As someone whose Armenian great grandparents fled turkey during the genocide this makes this is really good news. However I didn’t learn about this until just now which kind of worries me. Some people I’ve talked had never even heard of the Armenian genocide before I mentioned it and I feel there is still a lot of erasure out there. That and the fact that it has been a century since it ended and U.S. only just recognized it as a genocide is worrying.
