lost it after 16000 -10db

ok good im not actually going deaf

I have meniere's disease and I hear less in my right ear , so I came here to test my hearing.

i could hear them all up to 19000 -10db after that i couldnt hear anything other than a quiet sort of blow sound

The only ones i coudn't hear were the -18dB and -36dB of 16,000 and 19,000 Hz.

Looks like I've lost a lot of high frequenc y hearing. I lost 7k at -36db but could hear 12k only to -10db. I guess my ENT is right that I am losing my high frequency hearing!

OK can't hear anything on and past the 16,000 hz, is that bad? erm

My left hear has definitely lost some lower frequency over the years. It's really starting to bother me.

My headphones must be broken

Would be really messed up having somebody messing with the audio making you believe you're hearing has been ruined.

Either loud music (i listen with headphones over the ear not on the ear) or laying on my left has caused my ear to shift somehow. And im partially losing hearing in the left ear. Uhoh lol.

Came here due to paranoia thinking my wisdom tooth on my right side was effecting my hearing in my right ear.

My ear gave up on 36db

I was doing fine up to 2500Hz at -10db. Nothing after that.

Mine stopped at 16k. I could hear 12,000Hz just fine, but 16,000Hz is complete silence.

Im 40 this year and I cannot hear 12khz -36db on my left ear and when it reaches 16khz, I cant hear squat both sides. When I take the same test with a frequency generator on my earbuds, my left ear stops hearing a thing (total silence) at 13300 (13200 is VERY FAINT) and right ear at 15400 (15300 is VERY FAINT). Im glad that at this age, my left ear is just 2000hz behind my right. This is normal, dont worry if you experienced the same. Now I dont need to give a shit about about a speaker's frequency response that peaks above 15khz. 😂😂😂😂😂

Now I know my head phone is just quieter in one ear😂

Tf this is bullshit. If you take out your right side while they play the right. You can hear it on the left.

I hear all good until 12000, then absolute nothing in 16000, and then again 19000 a very quiet high sound. (a friend played the sound for me, and i was facing away from the video)

19k hz on 36 db, i think my right ear is the best

I am pretty sure my headphones gave up at 18k +. Only slight crackle could be heard

Turns out my headset audio wasn't balanced, now it is and sounds equal.

I played in a rock band high school into college. Got drafted into the Army and when I got out had 10% hearing loss. Spent 30 years as a cop after that having to qualify on firing range twice a year. I could not hear anything past 7,000 HZ is that bad?

Im just watching this to laugh at the difference between my ears since I have water in the left one 🥲 let’s hope it clears soon cause it’s annoying

12,000 -36db could not be heard in my left but my right could hear it. After that, bupkis.

And I came here to see which earbud was left and right because it is not marked.

This helped me know that my headphones were actually broken and not just from 1 ear. im sad now, these were expensive.

Always cross-check reverse earphone you have know your ear is fine...

Either I'm losing my hearing ability in my right ear or it's my earphones, because the sound is louder in the left ear.

I often become paranoic with many issues. Now, I am paranoic with this, or am I not? Hard to say; such is the world of mental illness. You never quite know up to what extent something is certain, or if it is just your mind playing you.

I in no way will have children, to not spread this genes of mine, so it becomes less of a problem for future generations.
