No fuqqing way. I was maming a track yesterday (this video was in my watch later lol) it said it was Emin so i set ableton scale and it just wasnt sounding right or even comparable to my reference (i got from beatport) so i decided to come back to it after building the drums. Even though what i could here was the vibe i wanted i went against what sounds good and basically stuck to the the ableton grid. Ive just changed it back to what sounded good and like my reference track more. Now i can cook up again. Im sending you a coffee for that.

Great video, just subscribed. Do you think this sound is totally attributed to the phyrgian scale? Because I've noticed you get the same sort of dark vibe any time you use the parts of a scale where you go up just a half-note or 1 semi tone. For example in b-flat minor, if you were to have the notes C, C#, F, F# they would have the same sort of vibe even though its technically the normal minor scale no?
