The hisense doesnt have mirroring but I have connected it this way before but sometimes it doesnt find it- hisense does not come up as a found device. Sometimes it does

the problem is i have a laptop 17inc with miracast to my toshiba 4k smart tv. The resolution is stuck at 1080p, which is completely wrong for the tv. When i miracast to the tv, it connects no problem, but then because of the resolution when i launch my browser and drag it over from my latop to my tv, it kind of slowly flickers on the smart tv due to the wrong resolution. I have looked on the nvida (i have an rtx 2060) display panel to try and see if i can change the miracast to the correct resolution, the only resolution i can find is 1080p presumably because the laptop is just sending a copy of the screen to the smart tv so it obviously wont let me increase the smart tv's resolution in th nvidia display panel, i cant seem to change the resolution on the tv, which might be because its a big screen, any advice or am i stuck on 1080p because its just sending a miracast (copy of the laptop screen) ? the mouse pointer is very jerky on the smart tv (due to resolution)

i followed the steps...though i was using miracast for my kodak tv to connect it to my laptop, after it established a connection, it blacked out the screen. do u have any solution to that? kindly refer if u do. thank you
