You know when you said green will be big, it reminded me suddenly of how the Pantone color of the year was kind of this boring peach flesh color, and there is a character from adventure time (huntress wizard) who has green skin, but people with red-green colorblindness thought she had regular light peach human color skin like Finn. So greens being the opposite side of the colorwheel as the peach pantone color could be a fun rebuking of large companies deciding the trends on our behalf.

I used to work with two some of Brazilian bigger shoe makers on today's market and it's absolutely true, when you walk into the office to see the next seaso drops there's already plans for the next year or so, Brazilian "mid luxury" footwear market is as big as clothes and highly competitive, even if brands drop new stuff every month there's still chance to a unpredictable trend to come up... But most of the times that trend is orchestrated by a competitor

every brand I worked for have different strengths but they compete on the same market

I am so excited for the more ocean based style trends, I have a big sea shell collection and I already have ideas for jewelry to DIY.

I predict masculine silhouettes becoming more popular and also earth tones, plus darker muted shades (so opposite of what we had in 2023 with light neutrals and bright pinks). Along with 60s silhouettes, colours, dresses and skirts becoming big. I think checker pattern could be more popular this year.

I'm predicting that those 2000's big sequin bags will come back, and i think we'll see more specific patterns come back such as zebra, chevron, and galaxy (yikes). Along with that, I bet we'll see chunky DC/Osiris sneakers make a comeback too since the younger gen z and older gen alpha are starting to 'discover' emo and scene aesthetics on social media 💀

I have been wanting the late 50s, early 60s super long, and pointy toe, kitten heels to come back. I'm not enjoying the current weird kitten heel shapes, and the pointy toes are too short.
