I was just listening to this, and so I really thought the 'declaration of "our broath" ' was a How I Met Your Mother reference. I literally just re-watched it and am delighted (and embarrassed) to find otherwise.

Huntingdonshire (now just a section of Cambridgeshire) was one of those parts actually controlled by Scotland, a legacy of the slightly more amiable relationship of Anglo Saxon England & Scotland. Robert the bruce is my 23rd great grandfather. 👍 when the English decided to take over scotland again robert was outnumbered by a land slide. He didn't back down but he went at it a different way than any other king ever before him. He drove away the English without ever engaging into combat. He targeted their recorces and starved and famine set it. They had no choice but to leave defeated without ever once facing the enemy king and his men.
