When I play the Kirov I just spam all my anti ship missles immediately and it takes like 4 minutes to sink a group

Unless this was action that initiated a war, a carrier wouldn’t have allowed you to get that close. There would be at least one hunter killer subs that would have made life a wee bit difficult.

Back in the day there was this game called Harpoon, which was a pretty realistic modelling of Cold War era naval combat. You had to cheat pretty hard for the USSR to have any luck against something like a CVBG. The primary threat was not any Soviet surface ship (or even submarine), it was a few wings of strike bombers carrying a double wide buttload of ASMs. Even if you were successful, 80% or more of your bombers were not coming back.

This is such a realistic game, simple but realistic and great, if not the most realistic in my opinion. I think they should remaster this game with ultra good graphics, different weather conditions (storms included), bigger maps and and more modernized and also a multi-player version. It would be perfect 🙌

Kirov is a modern battleship/battlecruiser. It’s armament evolved into missiles and its armor diminished like all modern warships. But the classic capital ship lives on with these powerful and beautiful ships.

Oh, please. Though formidable, a Kirov is not invincible. It would be lucky to take out even just one of the pickets. It would literally need to sacrifice itself to even get a shot at a carrier. Airborne surveillance systems launched from the carrier would have a Kirov spotted before it could even aquire a target. Nice CGI for the video but it's absolute fantasy.

Simulation nyet possible. Whole purpose of a carrier is the damn planes people.

One squadron of Hornets would have easily made short work of the fossil, KIROV.
