When i hear "Snap" i answer "sudo apt purge snapd". Snap is fat, slow and buggy. I do understand REASONS to make snaps, but its should not be main app distribution system, only as stopgap

I find MXlinux with KDE desktop quite smooth and friendly after Mint. It is also no systemd distro.

On Manjaro now and considering moving to back to Linux Mint. I just had a botched system update hose it and I can't boot anymore, the dang thing shuts the PC off every time I boot now. Even after working 8 hours with their support. I just want something simple and hassle free

My first Linus distribution was SuSE Linux 5.3

I cant install linux on my ibuypower valkerie cz-17 gaming laptop. Im getting hardware errors on Manjaro. I was able to boot to live CD on linux mint. I think it might be the and GPU/ CPU combo with a SLI graphics card! How can i install manjaro ? Do i need to disable the graphics card?

Manjaro as an os for beginners? I wouldn't recommend it due to so many weird bugs and issues while I was just installing it. It's still better than straight arch but still.

The first distro I install and actualy used was manjaro but it brokes it self beacuse the software manager gui uses pamac and I use pacman so I dont think is a good distro for starters

Snaps can install multiple versions of the same dependency, but not multiple copies of the same version.

arch is the best for beginners who actually are interested in how linux works. installing it is the hardest part but it teaches you a lot of valuable lessons that you cant learn from just using a download wizard or something

I'm pretty new to Linux and I am hoping for a guide. I am trying to decide between Ubuntu and manjaro. I want to learn Linux before I setup a home server using Linux and I would like to try Linux as a daily driver. I work in it and I'm currently coming from Windows if that helps

I am trying to dip my toes into linux. Ive used windows, the switched to mac. On mac, i learn python, ml, and some basic stuff. Which linux should i go for? Just easy to use. For beginners, flatpak is way better than snap for beginners cus flatpak just works end of story, where as snaps I just have constant issues from slow startup to no startup
