I will never understand how on video you make a 120mph swing speed look like a 80mph swing speed. I don't see the effort, it's just natural. I've seen it in person and the speed looks extreme, but I guess that's why you guys are pros and the rest of us are not! Great video, thanks!

I have always struggled with my follow through, and it's kept me a club short.
The more I look for good information, the more I keep finding Clay coming through, and he doesn't talk down or over the audience, but keeps complex information efficient but complete.
I really appreciate the time he's taken to do his videos.

The one thing I do with Driver is recoil after impact, maybe getting shoulder high on follow through (with club pointing up to sky) but nowhere near a full follow through. I swing 90+ mph and carry around 230 yards with Driver on good shots. Any reason you know that might cause me to recoil? I’ll follow your tips here as well. Great video!

Clay... you will respond to me one day haha!! Just another shout out to all you have done for my game.. I sometimes cheat on you and skip around to other online instructors and it is almost hilarious the things I hear... I won’t list names or theories but if I hear something and think Clay would prob say “I don’t know what the HECK this guy is talking about” I am with you all the way bud “be an athlete, do the drills and knock the heck out of it”

Great video. All these “mistakes” really makes sense. Thanks Clay 👍
We have unfortunately been stopped here in Denmark because of snow the last two weeks.
But I am thinking of going to the driving range when it clears up and begin from scratch by following your instructions.
My last “tour” on the course was miserable so I nearly threw my bag in the water. All because that I don’t use the follow-through-swing.
I imagine that one could start slow and easy, just hitting the ball so it goes 30-40-50 yards. Just to “operate” all motions into
my body till they get stuck. Then ree-eally slowly speed up. Could that be a way to put 40-50 yards to my iron/driver-shuts?

Great video Clay. The thoughts I have watching this is that the strong follow through does so many good things for your swing. It will help maximise the potential energy that you create from the backswing and really make your arms come through the ball. This has the added advantage of helping you close the club face – if you are cutting your follow through off there will be a tendency for the hands not get through the ball and hence leave the face open. This can be a killer move with the driver as well as other clubs. It can help to visualise the finish position – this will focus the mind to make the body get to that position. An interesting parallel that I have seen is from an advanced driving course I attended. The instructor advised that if you are in a bad situation do not focus on what you want to miss, for example the tree. Focus on the point you want to get to. The brain will then force the right reactions from the body. So if you stand on the tee and visualise that strong finishing position it will help you get to that outcome. Really enjoy watching your coaching tips.

Having an intention with your pelvis and scapula to that 4 ft would really create a free release. 👍👍👍😁

When our scapula and Pelvis have the same intention, open or closed throughout the motion, we release proper. The straight line can’t happen when our pelvis and scapula are tilted in different directions.
