I have been enjoying your videos and have learned so much. Preparing to go to Iceland in November and with my first mirrorless camera. I'm getting to know my camera and love all the information you provide. Your photos are mesmerizing.

Man, I am not a fan of completely cropping things out. In my useless opinion it’s completely altering reality. I guess that’s where the “art” comes into play.

In the era of film photography, a photographer had to really put his or her back into it. Now, it's all about Photoshop and all those other apps. It used to be called the art of photography. for a reason.

i must disagree with the cleanup. What is "taking a photo" if we clean it up in post... Might as well just use AI do get a similar shot. A little color correction - maybe (although i wouldn't), some denoise and that's that. Capture it with the lense or let it be.

In FIAP these are not allowed I believe . Minor cropping , dodging , burning are allowed in salons expect in ART heavy edit is allowed

Photoshop stuff is not photography. Why modify the reality?

Nice fotos, they are good for travel agensy, but for me, real fotografy is about people, for this people do fotos, what you doing is special fotografy of landscape you doing it wery good is something like impresion in art. But try do it with people - it come more difficult.

In my opinion, there is a problem with significant image editing: the result is not what the photographer really captures, it is not what the human eye actually sees. It is something beautiful and fake. If the editing only corrects the limits of the device and approaches what the eye sees, it is ok.

When you work these photos post production extensively (combining two, 'cleaning up' and heavy Photoshop) then you have pictures not photos.

The photo birds flying in front of the sun seems more dramatic and exactly what I have been trying to capture with limited success. I don't really mind the edges.. I just think the other photo looks ordinary and more predictable. Just my opinion. I like all the photos shown.

If your going to be a pro stay away from lightroom cause once you alter an image it no longer a natural image.
What did use guys do years ago when using the 35mm as the best of photographers tuck some of the worlds best shot's
use are getting sloppy and lazy using postprocessing

A long telephoto lens can make a huge difference in your photography

Nice video, but I’m taken back on all the post processing to make it look better or used as a crutch for poor photography skills. Film was unforgiving and each shutter click cost $.

once you remove something from a photo and replace it, it is no longer a photographe, it is just a digital image. a photo should never be retouched, only color graded, that's what's make a photograph, photograph.

Hello, may i ask what setup or lens or camera do you use to film yourself in this video? The sharpness and quality look superb! Like very high quality, I'm not sure if that is because you upload in 4k but I don't think that's the case as I have uploaded in 4k before and it wasn't this good looking. Glad to hear you say you will use f/20 if you need. I run into so many people that are so hung up over diffraction when stopped down so much so that they will cheat themselves out of a photo or make a photo way more difficult than it needs to be.

why must pro?

Interesting, as a photojournalist ( retired) I don´t see any mistakes, just different pictures. We PROs think those people we shoot for. It is the first thought. So, if some client group needs a picture that has three dimensional visuals and foreground to see the bushes for some reason, then it is a mistake to compose so that the bushes are gone. We pros never shoot for ourselves, we shoot for other people ( those who pay for our breakfast). We think first what they need and shoot that way.

Your use of comparisons, good pic vs not so good really helps deliver the points you’re making. Well done
