ОтветитьIf you haven’t watched the entire video wait for the end otherwise you might actually be getting tricked. I don’t want to ruin it for you but just wait for it.
Ok now that you found out no crackhead are this smooth I have a story to share. It’s long by any standards especially a random comment on the internet. I’ll start with my thoughts on the video itself.
Never seen a crack head this composed and smooth and I was thinking this guy actually seems like he can control himself which seems like an anomaly. I wonder if the interview money he got pushed him over the edge to spend $1400 on crack. Back whenever this was filmed that was probably more like $2700-$3000 in modern money. Im sure there’s crack heads that blend into everyday life like how almost any other drug user can if they are a functional addict who hasn’t destroyed their life, then again even some of them can. I think it’s easiest to notice crackheads and junkies when they are either really strung out, with drawling/feinding and hustling street corners for money trying to get people to pay when they mess your windows up trying to clean windows at stoplights with wiper fluid and rags, or when they are so high they are in the middle of nowhere acting erratically without much of a clue where they are going sometimes repeating themselves . Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between someone who just smiled crack and someone tripping on PCP when you see them at night. I remember moving to Chicago. At a stop light was when I saw what I thought was a nice homeless man approach and wash my fathers windows without his permission and he told them to go away. My father had been in Chicago longer than the rest of my family so he’d seen lots of addicts and professional beggars. On take your kid to work day downtown Chicago my dad and I walked past a “homeless man” in a wheelchair with a cup and a blanket over his lap in raggedy clothes. My father seemed to have some repertoire with him. Turns out the guy fakes being homeless professionally and makes his living that way. My father had talked to the man before and was friendly to him because he knew that man’s secret. He had seen the man get up and walk with his wheelchair one day. The “homeless man” knew that my dad knew his secret and I think my dad got a bit of entertainment out of seeing this professional panhandler for years working the same corners where the L train entrances and exit stairs were. Over the decades in Chicago I’ve come to see many professional bums over the years who simply do not work because their drug of choice has ruined their lives and they like the feeling of the drug so much they don’t care much if it takes their lives and they don’t want to go back to society. As sick of a view as that seems I can understand it although it’s very dark. Man I could go on about the crazy shit I’ve seen over the years but I’m glad I moved west of the city to much quiet suburbs now. I didn’t think much about the city despite seeing the dangers growing up but then in my teenage years I gained a sense of pride about coming from the city and making it despite my own run ins with gangbangers, police officers, raving candy kids, raving lunatics and the kind of people VICE makes documentaries about; that’s part of the magic of Chicago as the fondue pot of America where one block down you have a whole new city with all kinds of people.
He died because the government killed him
