So, a nano station can’t be configured or used as a wifi access point directly with other devices? iPhones/computers etc. am I correct?

Thanks heaps. Your video is awesome. I have steup my M5's and they are communicating well, signal strength is very good. They are about 100ft apart. I have a Hikvision 16ch NVR and 6 cameras setup and working well on cables. I setup the M5's to add a camera remotely. I have no picture. I have the AP M5 plugged into the power injector POE port, the LAN port from the injector is plugged into Uplink on the switch and Port 1 from the switch runs to port 8 of the NVR. On the Station side I have the cable from the M5 running to the POE port of the injector, the LAN port to the switch (they say any port is fine for the TPlink TL-SF1005P) then the camera plugged in there as well. Any pointers would be appreciated. Cheers

Had this running for a week then unplugged it to move, and now the Ubiquiti antennas won't reconnect. Any ideas other than start over?

How did you configure a remote router (mine is a Netgear router/WIFI AP) to redistribute the signal to local clients in the guest building? Do you assign it a static IP or allow it to receive an IP under DHCP? does it need to mirror the SSID of the source network or have its own SSID? any other config settings? thanks

The wifi at my house is great. Strong signal. All good. My shop is 200ft away. Good signal outside shop but weak inside because it's a steel building. Do I just need one NanoStation Loco M2. Mount it outside shop. Power it up POE. Then run the ethernet from that to my wireless router in order to have WiFi in the shop?

instead of going to a switch box can it instead be connected to a extension router?

Can you setup using Apple iOS? Or do you need windows?

I got a used one, and was set up to use dhcp. I tried to log in, but didn't know the password, so I reset it. Now it doesn't want to get an ip. Nothing seems to work

I have two questions : One why did you get the DNS from ? question two do you use the same password that you used on the first station or each has a different password?

I have two old version of Nano Station Loco M5. One is 5Ghz Outdoor/Indoor MIMO 13dBi CPE. The other one is One is 5Ghz Outdoor/Indoor airMax 13dBi CPE. What is the difference and which one is better?

I have set up my locoM5's but am having trouble, the signal in my secondary building is strong, but it says "internet may not be available" have tried resetting router etc...any ideas?

Does Uniquiti software have the ability to update CPE firmware remotely from your base station? How do WISPs handle this? Do they literally log into the individual device via IP on the network? Does ubiquity have a way to auto-deploy firmware updates across a fleet of deployed CPEs?

When setting up the station, under the SSID is a block that says “lock to AP”. What does this do?

why do you have two cables running from the main access point outside.I think it should only one cable running from it.

Cheers for this guide. Just used this to help my neighbor setup his NanoStation between his external garage and house.

Will you see signal strength on the back of the station or just the access point? I have the power and lan light on the station, but have signal strength on the access point.
