If your relying on bunker alfa for armor your doing it wrong. Try to get to the yellow stone are as much as possible. Try to grind the iron ore (smelting scrap is better but or will be more plentiful) and smelt it down to bars. Make it into plates and try to grind that as much as possible in your free time. Easy way to get tons of tactical armor. The thick fabric and everything else needed to craft tactical armor will be easy to get compared to the plates.
