Can you print the size you want only buying your patterns or is that option always available when you purchase digital?
ОтветитьWe need to get a new printer at home. Would a printer that prints on A3 paper be an advantage over an A4 printer?
ОтветитьWhy can’t I print my PDF pattern out on my HP 2700 home printer? I am so frustrated!
ОтветитьI saw on your printing screen that it mentioned a paper size of 8.5x11 inches. That is a USA sized sheet of paper. In Europe we use A4, which is a slightly different size. Will these patterns be printed correctly on a4 or will it screw up the pattern?
ОтветитьDo they automatically print n adobe or do I need to do something to make sure it goes to adobe? Sorry his is a little foreign to me. Love your patterns and videos.
ОтветитьThank you. I have been sewing for about 55 years, and am just getting back into it. I have accumulated about 30 PDF patterns and my success rate at printing has not been great. This has really helped. Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️your channel
ОтветитьYou did an amazing job explaining the printing settings
ОтветитьI'm a new sewer (sewist?) and I recently discovered your channel. I'm very impressed with your communication skills. Your video and sound quality are excellent and seem very polished. The few things I've seen you create so far look excellent. I'm still binge watching your older videos to get caught up. Lately I've also started searching for fabric in thrift stores, because retail prices are pretty crazy, so I'd like to see more videos about how to know what is good quality fabric and a good deal. Obviously there are not always labels on thrift store "stuff" so one has to rely on touch and feel and the look etc.
ОтветитьDo these include any sewing instructions? Thanks
ОтветитьCan you please break this down. Ordering the pattern from an online printer is my favourite option. What do I have to upload to them to get them to print only the right size?
Many thanks
Disregard the layering question! I found it!
ОтветитьI just downloaded the free version of acrobat reader. I don’t see a layering option to delete sizes. Do I need an upgrade to a paid version of adobe?
ОтветитьThank you so much, just printed your Hana tank and dress pattern and followed these steps, I love the layering feature on Acrobat Reader to print only the size I want. So quick and easy! This is my first garment project! Thank you for all of your wonderfully informative videos and clear instructions and tips ❤️
ОтветитьYes, very helpful. Nice demo’s with no ramblings 👏🏻👍🏼
ОтветитьI've been printing pdf patterns for a couple of years now, but I learned so much here. Super helpful. Thanks!!
ОтветитьI haven’t sewn since tissue paper patterns were the only option. Trying to start again. How do you pin through regular paper? That seems like such a hassle/ challenge. I was always taught to not use sewing scissors to cut paper as it dulls them quickly…so I’m confused. I saw the already cut out pieces you laid on the fabric, so you just cut as close as possible to the edge? That seems so much more difficult than when we used the tissue paper and could just cut on the lines. I’v seen some people use metal weights and a rotary cutter but how do you mark darts and other ‘line up’ marks? Do you have a video showing cutting out?
ОтветитьWhere does it ask you about inches or centimeters?
Ответитьwhere can i find tracksuit sewing patterns for men or get my own design made
ОтветитьThank you so much 💗
ОтветитьHello I just saw this. If I put adobe reader on my iPad is it because of that reader that you can just print out your size? Or is it only on your website or patterns that this is possible? I trace all my patterns and leave the tissue whole. I have pieced a pdf pattern on letter sized paper, but I am really drawn to the idea of having the pdf in all sizes but with the ability to print out only your size!!! This saves on tracing time and cost of tracing paper too
ОтветитьIs there sewing instructions also for the patterns ?
ОтветитьLove it! Thanks for teaching us how to sew!🎉
ОтветитьI have been considering buying PDF patterns so this video was very timely. Just wondering are the PDFs downloaded to my computer so they can be saved or do I need to print off another size when I need it……my weight varies due to my health and medications. How long do I have access to any patterns I purchase xx
ОтветитьThank you for all your helpful advice regarding pdf patterns! This has been so helpful for me as always when I go to print a pattern from other sites it always seem to leave me confused regarding getting the right size paper for printing. Now with seeing this video I feel I am more confident in regard to printing and also did not know about getting printing with the AO size that was available here in Australia this is what I am so interested in. I have printed the pdf patterns in the past before but no where that I could see how to print only the one size and so found the reams of A4 to be printed then joined together has always seem to take ages to put together. Best info I have watched and also love your bloopers.
ОтветитьThis was exactly what I needed to see..thank you! Lately, I've been binging on lots of different sewing channels learning about digital patterns but you're the only one to literally "hold our hands" taking the mystery away about how to order them AND then tape it together. The tip about taking the borders away ..so the pattern print edges can butt up against each other..I had no idea that was a feature on a printer. You're a gifted teacher, Casey. I know it must take hours & hours of filming, editting and planning to make one single show...so from my little sewing corner of the world...thank you!
ОтветитьCan you make a video about how to make digital patterns
ОтветитьCan i order this pdf pattern in european sizes i could be a size14 on to a size12 on bottom
ОтветитьYou did an amazing job explaining the printing settings on the computer!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьOk - the portrait mode for the printing is SO GOOD!! I just tried it yesterday on a True Bias pattern and loved it! I did a test of printing just the 4 pages in the top left of the layout (in my case it was 1-2 & 7-8) and it was perfect -- and imho, much more accurate, as there is less user involvement in the process ;) THANK YOU!! Love your channel, love your patterns (recently made my 3rd Lulu!), and eagerly awaiting that peasant top (and the call for pattern testers)! :D
ОтветитьJust found your channel; thank you for all you do! I’m making an Ava dress and love the simplicity of the details. Would you share info on your cutting mat and where to source it?
ОтветитьI tried to go to your website, and it is a 'dangerous' site. I think it is hacked, do not know if you are aware or not. I just found your you tube site today.
ОтветитьTesting
ОтветитьWhat if you need 2-3 sizes on one garment? Ex.: larger bust and waist and smaller hip. Do you print 3 sizes or print one and alter pattern before cutting out. I always have to lengthen the back waist length, sleeve length and enlarge for a tummy.
ОтветитьI’ve been sewing for nearly 50 years (ouch) and just bought my first online pattern—the button-up blouse. This tutorial was instrumental in that happening. It’s all printed and cut out. Now to fabric shop!! I used to make button downs as they were called in the 80’s out of Oxford cloth. I had them in every color. I’m excited to find some lighter weight cotton to try this again. So glad I stumbled on this channel!!
ОтветитьThank you so much!!! I want to try Pdf patterns so bad but I don’t have a clue on how to print them!!!
Ответитьthank you for the tips!!! I am totally an indy pdf pattern user and have always print at home. Maybe i'll try out one of those on-line print options. I DO dred the pattern assembly but always push onward. Love your shirt.
Ответитьwow, asked you last week about this and here it is....thank you soooo much, since I don't have a printer, I only have a chrom notebook, I think I will try brooklyn, especially since I just have to to to your patterns...although I am going to admit that I will most likely go to Best Buy and have Amanda help me, yes....I am first name basis with the crew at Best Buy...this is the result of being tech challenged, it's ok to laugh...I know, but hey it is what it is... again thank you so much...
ОтветитьThank you for this info. I have been trying PDF’s but, have hit and miss success. I love the convince but must admit… I hate sticking all those pages together. Not having to trim the sheets would make it easier. Do you recommend tracing patterns or do you cut the originals?
ОтветитьThank you for this! I've done both at home and AO - mostly at home - and thought I knew all I needed to BUT! that 'portrait' printing tip is GOLD! I'm wondering if it works for most pdf pattern company patterns, or is that specific to yours? Regardless, what a great tip!!! PS, currently wearing my comfi pants :)
ОтветитьThank you - I've been wondering how to do this - very professional~!
ОтветитьLast week I went to a cad printer company and they printed all but is worthless... Thanks for this video! Greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
