Resource Capture by Crops - e-Learning Demo

This video shows a sample of the interactive e-learning tutorial which forms part of the AgriFood ATP course 'Resource Capture by Crops'.

This four-part learning resource on crops covers areas such as canopy architecture, light interception and photosynthesis. Students will explore the factors that influence resource capture by crops, and investigate issues such as 'resource use efficiency' and 'potential productivity'. The chapters are supported by a range of interactive diagrams, graphs and animations.

The piece concludes with a 'virtual experiment', where the learner calculates measurements across the lifespan of a 'virtual' crop species. Like a real experiment, this virtual experiment is designed to vary slightly each time, encouraging the student to reuse the chapter for further practice.
