❤ thanks for sharing the video 😊
ОтветитьMy hubby is retired so we make a menu every week. This really helps to use up my bits and bobs left in the fridge and focus on what is in our pantry. I have to say that having home canned protein on my shelf along with beans. I can tell you milling your own flour will save you a ton of money.
ОтветитьI love this video! Some of my dad's best cooking is when he strays from recipes or throws things together without one. I'm not as good at it, but practice makes perfect. Also - you use a kettle to cook your pasta? Do you fill up the whole kettle for a pot of pasta? I'd love to know more. It never made sense to me to start from cold water. It just feels like a time waster.
ОтветитьI am blessed to have been raised by a mom who lived thru WW2 in Hungary. She lived thru having truly nothing, or a sack of dried beans was all they could get. As a result, she learned how to make dinner from what many would see as "what do those ingredients have to do with anything???", lol. As a result, I grew up learning to to make meals the same way. No recipes, just using what we had. Recipes ARE fun, but not necessary.
ОтветитьI got a copy of The American Frugal Housewife. Love it. Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьOh my Lord! I'm not even 2 minutes into the video and I already feel ashamed! Preach on, Honey! Preach on!
ОтветитьI absolutely love non recipe, recipe cards!!!!! These are awesome. I love shopping in my own pantry!! I love would love to have that book and will keep my eye out for it. Thank you so much for sharing her book! Hey, a little dab will do ya! bhahabhaha! I enjoy your way in the kitchen!
ОтветитьJust found your channel yesterday and I have to saw its amazing! I love seeing new canning recipes but I LOVE how you give so many meal options to use your canned food it so many ways! And your editing and production is fabulous!!!!
Ответитьthank you for all of the ideas
ОтветитьI love to cook with what I have on hand! This is so true when thing are coming in from the garden! Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьOne thing I hate about this channel/videos is that you can never find those freaking recipes you saw someday when you were just scrolling.
ОтветитьI have been dreaming to have a pantry like yours for 2 years now Lord help me because canning is very intimidating
ОтветитьOMG! You are so organized. I can only hope I get half as organized as you😂😂
ОтветитьHi ! I just stumbled across your channel! I totally love it. I meal prep a lot because I have a severe pepper allergy. No mixed spices and no eating out! I love new ideas ! Keep it up 😊
ОтветитьI love you. You show me that it will be alright.
ОтветитьYou are fabulous! These are wonderful ideas to use what you have on hand. I am new at creating a home canned pantry so this is valuable information! You, my dear, are and old soul connected to our past.
ОтветитьI never use recipes unless I feel like trying something new. I agree that it's more wasteful than just cooking what you have on hand. However, I had to comment to tell you that I LOVE the fridge bins for planning the week's meals idea. You are brilliant. <3
ОтветитьTerrific video! Thank you for saying what people need to hear. Funny thing about standard measurements. My Mom has a cookbook that calls for an eggshell amount of milk!
ОтветитьYou are amazing. Great ideas, and I love the baskets in the fridge. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for this lesson… I was not blessed to know my grandmothers, so having help with this is wonderful ❤
ОтветитьHI! Glad to meet you! I loved your ideas, I think it was a very delicious !
ОтветитьYou have a really cool personality that i love.
ОтветитьCan you share the grocery app you spoke about to search for the best local deals? I didn't write it down and now I can't remember which video!
ОтветитьSubscribed. Super practical advice well presented.
ОтветитьGirl, your cooking speaks to my soul! I adore cookbooks and read through them for ideas and then completely disregard them when it’s go time. My problem seems to be when I make something that hits it out of the park, I can’t remember how to recreate it!
ОтветитьI tend to follow recipes for baking, this is where it can get technical.
ОтветитьLove your channel, have you thought about grinding your own grains, you’re such a great cook and I think you could knock it out of the park.
ОтветитьI love your videos ❤
You’re soothing voice and energy are on point 👌
Great Info to know!
ОтветитьHow many times have I followed a recipe and still screwed it up! UGH
ОтветитьCan anyone tell me what the common name of that manual potate grater Cassandra used is, and if know,n the brand? Thanks!
ОтветитьMore “no-recipe” videos, please. I’m good at following recipes for delicious results. I’m guilty of all the things you mentioned at the start of your vid!😳 Thank you!!
ОтветитьI'm new to your channel, are you a chef
ОтветитьAmen, Sister! Omg - I hate how some people cannot function without exact ingredients for a formal recipe. It’s debilitating when you want to work with what we have already. THIS is real cooking! Thank you for saying it! 😊
ОтветитьHey Cassandra, do you make homemade dogfood for your pup? I’ve been making it for years. I’ve recently started canning it (thanks for the canning inspiration!).
ОтветитьI discovered you last week and I'm addicted to all your videos. This one is my favorite and I've already watched it at least 3x. I loooove all your flavourful recipes.
ОтветитьThis is exactly how I cook/meal plan!
ОтветитьI love your personality! You make me laugh, AND provide great content too!
ОтветитьLord, can you be my neighbor so I can just ask you over and pick your brain!
ОтветитьYou are amazing. I bet your little brain is just constantly planning what you are going to preserve next!! You wore me out just watching you get 3 meals ready, and cooking them. I know you work full time, so I can't even use that as an excuse! I guess if I had a bigger stockpile of canned food, I would do better. And thanks to you, I am really trying not to buy any fresh food put of season. I'm learning alot from you. Thanks for all you do!
ОтветитьThank you for all that you do : )
ОтветитьHow do you make your own bullion base?
ОтветитьYou are awesome, thank you. I have just started experimenting. I always thought o had to follow exactly. Thank you
ОтветитьJust started the video- your earrings are so freaking cute
ОтветитьWhat a great idea to have the flour in a large flat rectangle instead of a jar. No aim needed to get the flour out without spillage. Brilliant!!
ОтветитьReal cooking 👍
ОтветитьI love your way.of cooking. I have to learn how to can my meats and put them in my pantry too. You make it look so easy.
