Ответитьactually acording to vray you need to half the shift value for 8 bit displacement maps so if you have 3 inches you would do -1.5 inches because any value of grey would be no displacement i think if i remmeber correctly .but if you are using a 32 bit exr file you dont need to adjust shift but set your min max values to something within the range of your displacement map.

ОтветитьI need your help: When I add the displacement to 3 objects, my IPR gets pixelated, the camera freezes or 3DS Max crashes. I wanted to make a 30m sidewalk with pavement and it froze too. Is there a problem with my textures or should displaced objects be small and you shouldn't use them on every object?
