Is the Canon R6 Mark II worth the upgrade for you? I know my answer.

Lets go Canon. Lets go Canon. Cant wait to see when R6 Mk2 appears and what specs. Hopefully I can get one in my hands by Jan if it has the R3 sensor.

I really do hope they put the custom presets in for video on mark ii. great vid.

As a consumer I think it's ridiculous for one manufacturer to release "the best" camera bodies just a couple of years apart. Its becoming another iphone release.

With that said, if this release brings down the price of the original R6 and other R bodies then I'm all for it.

Oh one more feature. Please Canon give me shutter priority video mode. With Sony I just put a 3 stop ND set to iso 800 Slog3 and 1/50 and the aperture nicely switches between f2 and f8 scene dependent of course but great for vlogging and family videos where with Canon I have to set the aperture and have Auto Iso do the hard work adjust the metering.

Canon needs to do it soon! They are shooting themselves in the foot with their closed lens selection. BTW, as for your comment on Sony, based on what you said you could use the a7siii or downsize the lossless compressed raws to small.

As I understand it, a stacked sensor improves read speed rather than low light performance. A BSI sensor design would improve low light performance (although the R6 is already very good in that arena). I am glad to hear that you like the R7. I've been considering that camera as a second body...

Mainly take photo for animal, birds between R6 mark II and R7 which is suitable.

Hello, how do you downsize to a 10mpx a raw file?

R7 and RP owner here.
I tried to replace my RP once with a R6 since i was interested into wildlife and video.
The R6 dissapointed me a bit for its price so i just kept the RP, got the R7 instead of the R6 and i prefer RP+R7 a lot over the R6 alone for even less price!

I can also make use of both cameras.... the RP does for example with a manual focus wide angle prime milky way shots or (night) landscape on a basic tripod while the EOS R7 is running automated, USB powered as imaging camera on the 750mm F4 telescope

Seems like a lot of the features you hoped for weren't included unfortunately. In terms of hardware just seems like the video/photo switch and the 24 mbps.
