Thank you for the review, exactly what I was looking for to decide if I buy this game

Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, android, apple. They all take 30% why you single out steam? Also Ubisoft came crawling back to steam. And anno 1800 is available again. Gee I wonder why

RTX 3080Ti 12GB and i9 9900k.. and 20-40 fps on high settings.. had to steam refund the game sadly.

People who don't like the Epic store aren't "crying." Other than that mistake, good video.

Would be cool if the person youre co-oping with could raise their army and revolt against you... civilwar sort of thing

Anno 1800 is so beautiful, it sets the standard for beautiful art direction and graphics in a City Builder. Back in the day Age of Empires 3 did the same for RTS when it came out, compared to the blocky nature of Warcraft 3 AOE3 was on a whole different level. It was like a Constable painting that you could actually play in. AOE4 dropping that art direction and returning to AOE2's was particularly devastating for me, I had waited SO LONG for AOE4, and I envisioned a game that exceeded Anno 1800 and was at least on the level of Total War: Warhammer 2.

I fear the day when Anno 2022 is a thing.

My last city builder game was SimCity 2000 from 1993, but might pick this one up after watching your review as it is on discount right now on EGS.

You said you never plaid an anno game before, in that case, i highly suggest you take a look at anno 1404 (with its expansion) it is probably the best title of the series. Closly followed by 2070 and 1800.

As an old time 1404 and 1701 anno fan, after playing 2070 and 2205, I'm really happy how 1800 turned out. They got back to their roots and understood what made the old time games great.

Played 1404 and fell in love. Recently got 1880 and falling in love with it. There's a lot to learn

Mack which RTS/Strategy game would you recommend out of the big list you've reviewed? I only really play Starcraft but I'm looking to try something else...

So in a nutshell...It is yet another clone of previous games in different era. It is grindy...again and again until it gets to much of AgainAndAgains so you can invite coop person to f*ck up your game and plans....SO AWESOME!

I was interested in this game but I had to stop the video and disregard the game 47 seconds in when you said it's not available on Steam.

Love the game and totally agree with the campaign. The first 'cinematic' with the burial annoyed me enough to quit and start back in sandbox. lol

well said about the campaign/tutorial. If anything, it put me off the game. Really poorly designed and very, very annoying. The other part of this game that is frustrating is trading and managing trade routes.

How does this compare to cities skylines? Really like that game and this sounds quite similar to it?

Could you take a look at “airborne kingdom” if not already. Think you will really like it. Downloading this game now. Great review

Thank you for saying it, the tutorial is VERY, VERY BAD!, I bought the game last year, I got stuck on the tutorial couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do and I haven't played it since! it's just been sitting on my desktop and it felt like such a waste and recently I just uninstalled it because I felt it was too difficult, and thats saying something because I really enjoy other city builders like Banished, Tropical, They are Billions, and Crusader kings 3.
