Do you need gloves to do the ping test?
ОтветитьDo these ping tests work with bigger bars like 5, 10, 100 ounces? Thanks never mind I didn't finish video. So basically don't buy bars unless you have money to buy an expensive paperweight. Sounds like it's easy to make a fake coin with the proper dimensions.
ОтветитьWord of caution. Make sure you understand exactly what personal data an "app" collects before you install it. Google relies entirely on the honesty of, and what the app developer CLAIMS the app collects in terms of personal information from your device(s), and with whom it shares those data.
Many apps have full access to your contact lists, your photos/videos, and so on...even when the app itself has no legitimate requirement for those data in order to perform the function(s) for which you wanted the app...like identifying real precious metal coins/bars.
I've looked at the properties of a few of the metal verification apps out there, and there ARE DIFFERENCES in what data they claim to access and how they handle those data.
Is there a source that provides a chart or formula to determine the "ping" frequency (and perhaps even the decay rate) for pure silver/gold based on
diameter and thickness for rounds/coins
and
Thickness, Width, and Length for rectangular bars
For example, I plug-in the diameter and thickness of a .999 silver coin and the output of the chart or formula is the approximate "ping" frequency one should obtain from a quality item (no voids, major defects, etc)
I realize there will be some differences depending on cosmetic design differences, whether a round has Reeds or not, but I would think the frequency deviations would be relatively small compared to deviations found by fakes using different metals and false purity claims.
Nailed it bro.🙏🏽👍🏾
ОтветитьThanks 🙏🏻 For The Great Info !
ОтветитьThe more of these testing vids I see the less I want to invest in these metals.
ОтветитьFor big bars I bought a speed of sound device. 200 bucks.
ОтветитьCan a person use the ping test on silver bars?
ОтветитьI'm using a Milk Spot and Magnet as a sigh 👍
ОтветитьGreat timing: 100,000's of fakes coming out of China, only buy from reputable dealers. I will never buy second hand in this market. I always ping test.
ОтветитьCan’t you just take coins into silver dealer and have them check?
ОтветитьXRF
THE ONE.
THE ONLY.
That FDR lol. My dad bought me that when I was a kid when it came out came with stamps.
ОтветитьI don’t see ping coin in the App Store for iOS?
ОтветитьI was thinking, couldn’t I use my metal detector to check if it’s silver or zinc? I would say yes since copper and zinc come up differently.
ОтветитьVery cool equipment. It's scary for new stackers who do not know how to test. Did buy a pinger tester thing recently after watching some of your other vids.
ОтветитьThat's amazing; a resonance tester.
ОтветитьWhat happens if you do the ping test on the copper seeing on the device the copper comes very close to registering as silver does the ping test come close as well let's see show us
ОтветитьThis one is really fake. 😂
ОтветитьCan't find bulion test app
ОтветитьToo complicated. Just use my Sigma, pinger, and magnet.
ОтветитьI have lots of junk halves. can they be tested?
Ответитьwow, I learned A LOT! I've been kinda depressed about all the counterfeit bullion and coins coming out of China. I never knew there was a quick and cheap way to test for fakes. Thank you!
ОтветитьYou mean others besides the Chinese are pushing phony coins. Lol
ОтветитьVedy intaresting....
ОтветитьSo I literally bought an android phone after watching this video, ONLY to get the android coin test apps because neither of these are available on iphone. After receiving the android phone which is running version 12 which isn't even the newest version out I can't run Bullion Test because it says it will only run on older android versions. So someone help me out here
Ответитьany comments on specific gravity comparison testing
ОтветитьI am very careful in making sure I don't buy fake silver and only purchase Sunshine Minting products with the SI technology. All I needed was a $20 reader card and I can easily tell if it's real or fake.
ОтветитьThank you..
Ответитьis the fake silver eagle you tested towards the end actually 1ounce exactly? It said 1 ounce on the sigma, but I think that's because that's what the weight was supposed to be. It measured on the width properly so I was just surprised if it was actually exactly 1 ounce and the correct width as well, since it's fake
ОтветитьJust tested the Pingcoin app on my Gold Krugerrand, and it works!
Thanks!
Video release 3 months ago bought my phone last September. Google play says both apps are too old for my android version and cannot find any ping test apps that are valid for my new android phone.
ОтветитьSomeone sells me fake, ill go to their place of business and talk peacefully. If they want to get hospitalized over it. That's on them.
ОтветитьI cannot seem to find the testing apps for IPhone, it’s not showing the names he mentioned
ОтветитьThe 'Sigma pro' machine is now $1900. And out of stock!
ОтветитьNeither of those apps work or are available!!! How old is this?
ОтветитьDid anyone find bullion test and an apple phone app? If yes, please list below the name I can’t find it.
ОтветитьI was very disappointed I bought a pocket Pinger. It worked great with the app that came with it. I haven’t used it in quite a few months. I went to buy some silver the other day and went to use it and they started charging for the app now. If I didn’t know they were going to Start charging I would’ve never bought the pocket Pinger. I couldnt hear the difference in the ASE’s.
ОтветитьNeither ping coin or bullion test are available on Android.
ОтветитьBoth of the apps on this video the Play Store says they're out of date for new phones you have another app possibly any help would be useful on a good app for silver bullion checking
ОтветитьA very helpful video for everyone. I believe you had a least one previous video on this subject and where I originally found the link for the Ping Tester & Stack Stick. I've been using the coin ping tester and stack stick for a few years now with perfect results.
Several apps for sound testing have come and gone in Apple's APP Store, but the Precious Coin Tester APP remains and I use it when I want to confirm what I am hearing, especially in noisier environments like coin shows where a coin may be questionable.
This is definitely a video all new coin buyers who should pin and come back to from time to time as they navigate through their coin buying. Well done Silver Seeker!
the fake one had a ping that could fool a lot of people. It could fool me.
ОтветитьToo bad they dont exist in playstore, anymore
Ответитьvery cool apps !! but the play store says that both of them can'T be installed on my phone because its to recent ? any tips ? :)
ОтветитьI have a piece of sheet metal. It's fairly small at 6"x9". I'm positive it is silver. What I want is to determine the purity to see if it's even worth taking 45 min to take it somewhere
ОтветитьHello 👋, Just discovered your show this afternoon, I appreciate you're knowledgeable teaching skill set.
My question is. Does that here exist a 1942 NMM pre October 8, 1942 struck on silver? That's supposed to weigh 4.07 gms struck on a silver planchet? I can't find anything on it.
Somehow, I'm not able to find either app in my playstore (android) 😭
ОтветитьMy Galaxy s20 5g says both of those apps are not available. They are made for older phones. Maybe you could tell them that
ОтветитьOk strike it wwith plastic pen got it
