ОтветитьHe was singing it on the day I was born 26-7-1983.
ОтветитьIm so grateful that someone AND US have this moment permanently on record, goes to show you not all the internet is evil..
ОтветитьI don’t wanna disrespect any of the people who remade this song I think they’ve all done great but the original writer of this song was Lloyd chandler in Madison county NC preacher of bee tree house of gospel first found and recorded in the year of 1923
ОтветитьFrom the thumbnail, at first, I thought this was, Keith Richards.
ОтветитьI've heard many folks sing this, but this gentleman has a soul chilling voice. My dad was born in 1895, but by 1917, he was a 'doughboy' in Siberia in WW1. He'd never been outside the mountains of SW Va, and he well knew these songs. He grew up 'flatfootin' to music we now cherish. Songs no doubt this man sung.
Ответитьi've heard lots of renditions of this. His is my favorite.
ОтветитьPeople like him made this country when it was good some of you young people don't have a clue if you can't say something good why say anything about this man most people making negative comments to be funny wouldn't last one day in this man's shoes RIP old timer
ОтветитьJust saw him on a documentary they made in the 70's. He even looked like death back then. Then to look him up and see he lived another 20 years after that.
ОтветитьKeith Richards is amazing, still going strong
Ответитьbeautiful.. bless ya'll
ОтветитьMother Russia will give birth to twins one named Nuclear and one named Radiation You've been Doomed

Imagine growing up in the twilight years of the old west and then living until the days of hairband music and Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.
ОтветитьThats a true hard workin man
Ответитьmy man been singing this for the last 50 years since he was 85 and death keeps giving him that extra year.
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьThis man is singing this from the Heart, From a place of fear... He sings with a passion very few can.
ОтветитьThis is right up there with Ralph Stanley. Some songs are best song by an old voice.
ОтветитьDamn. Old times got more wrinkles then all the golden girls combined! But damned if he can't belt out O Death. Good job old man.
ОтветитьDon't just don't. K. I gotta go
ОтветитьAH!
ОтветитьAn entire life expressed in 1 minute. To me this was absolutely phenomenal. I'm not from the US so I don't have that connection but I connect with music because it's transcendence. Just like this song, pure, raw from the soul. Love it
ОтветитьBEAUTIFULL Almost brought a tear to my eyes
ОтветитьA beautiful perfect name given
ОтветитьHe lived for another 11 years after this, till 99 years old. Legend.
ОтветитьThis is the sound of the old timers in the mountains. I sure miss them folks
ОтветитьPure.
Ответитьlove song to life .
ОтветитьRIP. I died in August but doctors brought me back after 6 minutes. I've died twice in my life. My heart swelled due to stress. I ended up having a heart attack and died. The other time was related to my unknown muscle condition. My left arm felt like it blew up from inside. I passed out. I remember doctors in the ER telling me to hang on. Telling me don't give up.
It's weird for me knowing I died and I'm back. Nothing seems the same. Nothing tastes good anymore. It's all related to the trauma from open heart surgery to being on life support for a long time.
Anyways rest in peace sir.
Repent and trust in Jesus. We all deserve Hell for our sins, such as lying lusting coveting and more. We can't save ourselves, but Jesus can save us. He died on the cross to save us for our sins and rose from the grave defeating death and Hell. You must put your faith in him only. He is the only way to Heaven. Repent and trust in Jesus.
