Wouldn’t have these issues in the navara :p
Ответитьshould of bought a Hilux
Ответить16l/100km 😢😢😢
ОтветитьHi Paul: Some weeks ago I watched a YT video (US, Midwest) about an owner who had a similar experience with a similar truck, just a different brand. Long story short: It happened to be a 4x4 truck, (Purchased new from Dealer, with it's respective 'Everything OK sheet'), used mostly for farm work. Just about 1.5 months after having said truck it started developing a similar 'whine' from the front diff. It happened said front diff had been working with (roughly..) half the lubricant, and still was given the 'Ok sheet' to customer. My humble suggestions to new cars / trucks owners:
> It isn't too much of a trouble, (Specifically..) to have your new vehicle's lubricants checked by the owner him/ herself, or a trusty mechanic. (There's plenty of Info in the Owner's Manual & Internet).
> My late Grandpa told me: 'NEVER ever buy a new car assembled on Monday or Tuesday after Holidays..'
He knew better, 'cuz he owned several Companies, including a couple Logistics / Transportation ones..
It wasn't uncommon to find vehicles with oddities like 'half eaten sandwiches' & other stuff underneath carpets. A cousin of mine heard an unusual 'tingling' noise in his new Chevy truck's engine when it was iddling. After hearing the regular Dealer's Tech's "Its normal in new engines", had it checked by his mechanic, who actually found a penny (1 cent coin!!), under the V8 engine's intake manifold plenum. How it got there is anyone's guess..
Thank you Paul for keeping us your followers all 'round the 🌎🌍updated!!.
😊🇨🇦🙏🙏🙏
Shitbox ranger 😂
ОтветитьI do think this video is a great post. We need more of you interviewing owners that back up longevity ownership of kms doing caravan and off road and trade jobs in the bush off road. Interviewing these people with Toyota HiLux rouge so on and land cruisers and ford Utes Mazda thunder so on. All of them even jeep with pump up shocks and range rovers. Do the lot in depth regular interview showing paperwork of repair etc. And good bad ugly and the great the one that shines best.
ОтветитьDealerships are useless mechanics, they just want more of your money.
ОтветитьFord alwsys has more potential to deliver the best cars and suvs
ОтветитьTypical Ford service liars!!!
ОтветитьExactly why i never bought american cars
Fix Or Repair Daily mate. Now you know first hand why....
The American 10 speed Rangers are all eating their transmissions. Never buy a Ford...
ОтветитьThanks Paul for similar experience with Ford struggling to diagnose vibrations. 2 driveshafts replaced collapsed engine mounts replaced still drones/hums on motorway..😢
ОтветитьMaking me feel good about buying a second hand 2019 VW Amarok
ОтветитьPlease provide another update.
ОтветитьAs the owner of a platinum this is my first Ford a lovely car BUT, three things occur to me, Ford Australia are arrogant and uncaring, the Thai factories appear not to actually have quality control teams and their dealer network seems mostly to have poor quality undertrained service technicians
ОтветитьAll I can say is....😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьTop dollar for a truck that tows only 2.5t
Where you could save 20+ grand. Have alll the gadgets n quality and tow more.
Not worth the money for a raptor in my opinion.
Glad i didnt get one
For a car guy you certainly know your cars!
Ответитьbuilt for tough
ОтветитьGood to see Ford living up to their name.
FORD...... Fix Or Repair Daily
I hear the lane keeping recall was so that you can't turn it off, which you previously could so that they could achieve the 5 star safety rating, of which this is a requirement.
ОтветитьReading these comments is tiresome. I dont think there is 1 single ute that is considered acceptable.
ОтветитьGlad you got it all taken care of. Things happen in the real world.
ОтветитьYip, I'll just stick to me good old trusty Toyota. 😂
ОтветитьMy sons Tremor needed a new diff.
ОтветитьThat's why people buy toyotas
ОтветитьFord is a heap of…
ОтветитьYou're lucky that you do car reviews. Ford are renowned for ignoring warranty claims. Basically their cars are over priced buckets of shit. The rough idling and buggered diff are only the beginning of your problems.
ОтветитьYou should get a navara pro4x warrior
ОтветитьCan we get another update? Thoughts?
ОтветитьReal talk. Its big boys new disposable toys. Thats how its engineered.
ОтветитьFord quality is awful
ОтветитьHi Paul, no diff problem (touch wood) but I noticed you were getting 12.9 kms / 100 L? My Raptor has done 1500kms and I’m getting 16.9 kms / 100 L??? Is this normal? Do you think my fuel economy will improve as its does more KMs🤷🏾🤷🏾 great reviews btw👍
ОтветитьTheir to high tech for your own good .
ОтветитьFord would not have done that for the normal guy. I had to replace a transmission on a 2020 model because of water ingress, they said because I put a trans breather on it its not under warranty, even though the water did not get in though the breather it got in though the pig tail. Not the dealer it was the Ford rep that didn't approve the warranty. So sad because I like fords but I cant buy them anymore because of this.
ОтветитьYou should have bought a Toyota! That POS will give everyone who owns it a nightmare. Welcome to the new and improved Ford motor company. POS right off the assembly line.
Ответить🇵🇬🇵🇬,,
ОтветитьMy AU Falcon has a different wine as well, must be a Ford thing!
ОтветитьThat Ford looks absolutely amazing to me and I'm also a bit shocked to see that it has had those issues, although it seems that it may have just been genuine accidental mistakes during production. I still believe that the Raptor is a tough and reliable off-road vehicle with great capabilities. If there's anyone who has had quite a bit of ownership experience with this new Raptor, please leave a reply and let me know whether you would recommend buying it or if you've had a few problems.
ОтветитьMate you brought a Ford, what would you really expect??
Ответитьjust don't buy the car - not worth it
ОтветитьHow Ford don’t have a massive red flag on your name and rego to ensure someone like you gets the best service just goes to show how little they care after the sale.
ОтветитьCan you please do a video and explain how new car servicing works please
ОтветитьI’ve picked up the Platinum. I find the gearbox quiteloud, I’ve never had a car with any gearbox noise let alone a brand new $80K car. On normal driving I can hear gear changes and the gearbox is louder than the engine. I took it back to ford, their answer is that is normal. What is the opinion out there? It’s done 300 km and ford say let it wear in.
Ответитьthinking of getting a Raptor - the more Good - Bad - Ugly da better - lots of money if there are faults - like most cars they have small probs - great review
ОтветитьAbsolutely ridiculous customer service and follow-up from Ford in my opinion. One of the reasons I'm no longer in the industry . . .
ОтветитьSo, in conclusion... Ford Service is SH*T all over the World. 😑
ОтветитьBeen a while, but just went in for my 30,000km service.
Garage is amazing. Appointment via FordPass on Monday, I picked Wednesday morning. Got a call from them if they could move it to 11.30am instead of 9am. No problem, booked. 11.30am I came in, the expected cost was AUD 24.00 (yes, that's right, AUD 24.00!). There's an additional 'Optional Service: IOLM, 4030 THB (AUD 175.00)'.. forgot to ask about it.
The lady taking in the car knows me well, got the paperwork printed out, said she would get the tires rotated, oil and filter changes, battery check and the normal check-list. Of course, we'll wash and shine your car when done.. Please move your ass upstairs, get some food and drinks there and we'll call you...(well not exactly those words, but you get the idea...lol)
Comfortable chairs and sofas upstairs, fresh cappuccino sir? Any other drinks or some snacks with it? A bottle of water maybe?
It's like a business lounge at the airport, including a waiter to take care of you.
1.5 hour later, car done, I sign the documents, thought I had to go to the payment counter.. Nope.. This way Mr. Luc, your car is ready, everything perfectly ok..thank you very much and see you next time!
So, my maintenance bill driving it 30,000 km now is exactly Zero!!
(And yes, they did change the oil and filters..lol. Got the old ones and the empty oil-cans)
I've not paid anything at the garage yet except for a new license-plate holder!
Recently met a fellow Dutch living in Thailand as well. Also has a grey Raptor V6. His experience is exactly the same as mine. Stellar service and Ford really put themselves behind the product!
Pls buy Toyota Hilux GR for god sake for a worry free truck
ОтветитьIve heard from numeorus owners of the new raptor and they're far from impressed. A number of them have been towed back to dealerships, with numerous engine and electrical faults, hardly what you'd expect from a vehicle at that price point. Not a good look for Ford. The average person wouldn't have had an easier dealing with ford as you did, but even for you, they tried to pass the rough idle off as a software issue, surely they wouod have felt the rough idle after performing the software update, and they shouod have looked for it, not oalm it off to the customer to monitor. Ive worked in dealeship service departments, inlcuding with Ford, ford seemed to be the least likely to thoroughly investigate complaints.
