The Metro Trilogy is help up in the same regard as the mass effect trilogy. Yes it has issues and yes its definitely not the game for everyone but I don't understand the idea for knocking the game for being hardcore. It is literally classified as a hardcore shooter. But yet ww2 gets a 9.0 or whatever. I'm dead.

Just finished this game (redux version).
The game NAILS the atmosphere!
I would recommend playing the redux version. Though it has some bugs/glitches, but it will be the better experience (with updated graphics and UI ofc).
If you've played original Half Life and are fan of it, you will definitely gonna like this one as well.

I played this game a bit and to be honest I kinda hate it. The shooting felt really bad to me and the game was just bland. I see why people like it but It’s not for me.

Although I do disagree with this review I can definitely agree on the stealth fro me any stealth with no corpse hiding or moving is bad but I do agree with some parts of ths review I dont agree with the review as a whole

played and beaten the game on sept. 2019. the game is truly an underrated one, and still holds up today or atleast in my experience. shooting mechanics arent perfect and stealth mechanics could use more consistency but other than that the game's awesome.

You can't criticize a game for being a "standard shooter" while giving every Call of Duty game a 9 out of 10

As always, IGN reviews being trash and punishing anything that is innovative and challenging. Metro 2033 is a masterpiece of a game, despite the quirks, and in some cases thanks to the quirks and the lack of accessibility.
