SSL Style Channel Strip | Kiive Audio Quick-Strip

I have this plugin and it's pretty legit. My only critique is the high and low EQ adjustments. I think if they could squeeze in some sort of mid-band adjustment, it would then be even more usable. Sure you could throw in another eq plugin before but then it defeats the "quick" part of this plugin. Love the saturation and transient though. Can really make the drums get punchy.

There is only one issue i find with it.. is if you have alot of cuts .. youll eventually get a resonance build up on the low cut if you have it on multiple channels .. if you could just move it up and down a few frequencies.. that could easily be solved

It’s pretty much a SSL Six channel strip (with some extra features like the transient designer). The hardware (both on the Six / Big Six, and the 500 series module) is actually really great too. Even though it is limited, at tracking stage it is great to do some minor eq and light compression on the way in. I also use the 500 series for mixing, and the Six console for analog summing. Great stuff by SSL at affordable price points.

Thanks for a great introduction to a channel strip I'd never heard of before. I like its simplicity and the way it displays the EQ curve and spectrum in real time, so that when you open the plugin it's easy to see at a glance what EQ has been applied previously.
For the record, I don't think it's a stripped down version of a classic SSL channel strip, but rather an emulation of the SSL Six Channel 500 hardware with a few extra features.

Your intro song is so good. Can this kind of mix be achieved with plugins?

I have to watch since I bought this strip and have used it a bit, I'm interested to see what you think of it.

A GUI like that is the closest I get to the real thing while keeping the dream alive :)
