The Metro Tasmania case was over-turned a few months ago in favour of the Atheists. As for APN; I don't agree with their decision and am surprised by it. That's a decision their CEO has to live with I guess. Also, don't get too flustered by the seeing all those banners around. I know what you mean and i know what you're saying with running both ads at the same time. I'm a christian, but I'd be happy for an Atheist organisation to run their own ad campaign (I'm going to get some negative comments for saying this)! I actually like to hear all the different viewpoints and am against censorship of that nature. At the end of the day, people need to make up their own minds what path they follow. I should know; I was an Atheist for most of my life.

Not quite. This is a self-funded campaign by the churches the create conversation, not conversion, about Jesus. There's no reason why a Hindu or atheist or any other religious/organisation can't do the same. We live in a democratic country where, if you have the financial support, you can advertise and put forward your own message or product the same way the churches have for this campaign. Besides, it only runs for 6 weeks and you can always flick to another channel while the ad is on.

How is this commercial unfair? Also, their running the Harry Potter movies on TV at the moment. Is that evening things out for you?

I see what the reason is: Its to keep me out of ever going to heaven or ever having a real chance of being saved. God doesn't care about me, only his select few who have their names written in the book of life, where as I have nothing, no real friends, no job, no girlfriend, no money, no purpose. Theres one thing being overlooked here, the occult. who do you explain Ouija boards that actually work, they used to sell them in shops but they banned them because people were going insane, and they do work if you do them right and are dangerous because you invite demons into yourself. Why would i need evidence its a faith. I'm just trying to save your soul from hell because i love you. You dont recognise witnesses as evidence, i do, what would you need? a video recording of jesus and his miracles? you would definately say its a fabrication and doctored. It's not like you have to move into a cult and give them all your possessions, all you need to do is believe and try your best to succeed, god has certainly left you the tools. How arogant to presume you know more then me about revelations, you dont know me and you certainly have no faith. Now lets look back 2000 years ago when science was none existant for us. The only evidence then were witnesses and why would people risk persecution over Jesus for? many people seen him die and 3 days later many people seen him walking around. He preformed miracles and healed the sick, walked on water, many people saw his miracles, wheres your scientific explanation for that?

If we are supposed to be God's favorite creation, why would he make Faith the thing that makes folks love him the most, and logic makes us doubt him more than anything, when logic is the only thing that makes us better than all "His other creations" (Other animals and such) I mean, my dog has faith, plenty of it, she's a tiny little thing, and she will jump from a high counter with the faith that I will catch her, but she has basically no logic. Do you realise that.. You say these things like "It is a choice" "God loves you very much" "God cant change who he is" Without actually putting any argument behind any of them? You just state conclusions, without giving any premises in support of them and you ignore my counter arguments. You obviously do not understand how to argue, i wonder if you even know what a premise is?

Ah but that's where you are wrong. It is a choice and hell is only the punishment that atleast we have been warned about. I know where you're coming from and I've been there, God doesn't want us to suffer he wants to help us. God is who he is and he cannot change that so he has to do everything he can to change us so we can be saved from the punishment of hell and live with him in heaven forever. Understand that God doesn't hate you he loves you very much. Just make an effort.

two things. First, you have to understand that "worship me or be tortured for eternity" isnt really a choice. But that doesnt even matter because if what you believe about God is true then you do not have free will. As I have said, if god creates you while knowing your future (being all knowing) then he creates your future as he creates you and predestines you to your ultimate fate. You do not need religion to be moral, go and study morality.

He has given us 'Free Will', freedom to choose whether we want to follow his commands or reject them. God knows far better then us, who are we to question him? God is not only all good and all knowing, he is just. I know it seems like cult like behaviour but i dont do what the church tells me to do, only god; of-course I'm not perfect noone is and i make mistakes but they can be forgiven. We choose, all you have to do to get to heaven is Love everyone and God - be moral. How is that bad?

I know all about near death experiences, yet again, you study them in Psychology. I lack faith because I dont think believing in something there is no evidence for just because it comforts me even though it is painfully illogical is a virtue.

So how is it that you think that the revelations of people in your religion are evidence, but the revelations of people from every other religion which those people claim assert the truthfulness of their religion are false?

Not only have I read the Bible, but ive also read a fair bit of the Torah, and of the Buddhist religious texts etc. Have you read any of the OTHER religions texts? Why do you think that your religion is the right one then? I have studied the religions, I also study Science. Statistics, morality, ontology, epistemology, formal logic and Psychology. You? "Revelations" are not proof. I know far more about "Revelations" than you do. And yet again, people from EVERY religion claim to have them.

You don't seem to realise that even children with no life experience have drawn some interesting things that they have seen when they have had a near death experience. But i guess that just isnt good enough for you. You lack faith because something bad has happened to you in the past or a church has scorned you in some way, but you dont seem to realise man and god are appart and no church can really represent God who is not only good but just.

Guess what, personal experiences DO NOT count as evidence and there are good reasons for that! Really good reasons. If you knew anything about Psychology and delusion you would understand how easy it is for humans to attach significance to random events, to hallucinate, to think wishfully etc. What about all the personal experiences of the people in every other religion? There is not a shred of evidence for God, you believe it because it comforts you and you do not really care about truth.

I didn't say I could give you proof, I could only give testimony of others who have had experiences with angels and jesus appearing as spirits before them to protect or comfort them - thats the only real proof that exists. And again I didn't say Jesus gives everyone their diseases! Funny how atheists only refer to the old testament, read the new testament its the only part of the bible that makes sense to me and it is the truth. man don't give up on jesus he wont give up on you.

All it says is, dont worry about it, because if you worship our God youll go to heaven which is a better place than this one. How predictably childish.. no real answers, no real understanding of this life at all.

How is it that you justify the fact that most of the world doesn't have clean water? Why is God such an insecure narcissist who will torture you if you dont worship him? Would an all-wise being really be like that? Also, have you ever thought about the fact that, if God knows everything then he knows your future, and if he creates everyone while knowing their future, he then effectively designs their future predestining them to go to heaven or hell and thus punishing them for his ill design?

Also, you have to understand that this whole argument "Darkness exists so that there can be light" doesn't work. Because, although in our current universe opposites do often indeed need to co-exist, reality is only constructed that way because God made it that way according to your belief system. He could have made the Universe function on a different basis, given us different senses, changed the way our cognition functions and the way we perceive reality and learn.

black people have very good skin protection against the sun. so :P And you wouldnt get sunburnt if you didnt stay in the sun so long, you can't expect to be invincible here. Jesus loves you all no matter how flawed.
