You literally got me to call a friend I haven’t spoken to in over 4 years due to parting ways
Ответить2 years after this video was uploaded, I played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker after Tears of the Kingdom's release for the first time in over 20 years because I did not enjoy ToTK and wanted to convince myself that I am still a Zelda fan. I loved Wind Waker and Ocarina, but Majora's Mask stood out to me. I always loved it, but 20+ years later, it remains one of the most unique video game experiences. Hands down my favorite Zelda game.
ОтветитьIsn't link the archetype of the knight errant in all Zelda stories? Also, the other games have aspects of glorified fetch quests as well as Majora's mask having plenty of kill thing plots
ОтветитьWell I don't know what gaming magazines this dude was looking at from year 2000 but both N64 and Nintendo magazine gave Ocarina of time 98% rating and Majora's mask 96% and have never heard or read about it being far less received positively as OOT.
ОтветитьIt’s crazy how the first 4 minutes of your video is just nonsense
ОтветитьNormal game review: "Fun to play and some great atmosphere!"
Majora's Mask game review: "Let's consider the nature of death"
(:
ОтветитьMajoras is my childhood man.
ОтветитьI love this video I come back to it every year this game was a huge part of my childhood and I didn’t fully beat it till I was 20 as you get older you think more and more about what a masterpiece this was and this video captures it all perfectly
ОтветитьPeople are giving up on life because hope is dying in our world and this game gives us an example of hope.
ОтветитьI fucking hate this game but it reflects like on so much ways because you always have to redo the same shit everyday .. like shower , eat , work , clean ur room etc
ОтветитьYou're good at writing 🎉🎉
ОтветитьLove this video, insane production quality as well. gives me the shivers watching this. would not have been who i am today if i had not played this game day in day out with my younger brother when i was 9 yrs old. realised much later what an influence it had on how we would approach life, even now working in a refugee camp in germany (plenty of side quests there). to this day my most favourite game of all time, part of my childhood and of myself. this game needs to be preserved for educational purposes.
ОтветитьTo me, the moral taught by Majora's Mask is simple: You don't need to be a hero to be a light in someone's life. Be there. Listen to people. Understand people. You never know how someone might be suffering.
ОтветитьThe Romani story shattered me into tears 😭😭😭
ОтветитьLove this, greatest game of all time
ОтветитьI wanted to watch this. but can't get past your ASMR audio.
Ответить"Every Zelda is the darkest Zelda"
ОтветитьI like the idea of some other reality where the game simply didn't allow you to prevent the disaster. The success state would simply be realizing that the attempt was worth it regardless. Flashing to the people he met and realizing that the skull kid understood this all along.
ОтветитьThe best games for link are the ones where he's not destined to do the thing. As far as I know that's Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask (maybe in a purely technical sense Skyward Sword?)
These are the adventures that prove Link is ultimately just a good and courageous character, wiling to help people in need, sometimes at great personal cost.
While it's hard to say if it is--and I doubt that it was--intentional on the part of the developers but in general I think the broad story follows the five stages of grief:
The first three days are denial. No one thinks the moon is getting closer, you just think you have to get Majora's Mask back for the salesmen and everything hunky-dory.
Woodfall is aanger. Poison, the wrath of the Deku King, the Wrath of the Deku Princess. There's a general feeling of anger. Kokume gets hurt.
Snowhead is bargaining. The great Goron hero tries to get you to go in his stead, as does the elder
Great Bay is depression. Lost children, sickness, a malaise hanging over everything, this is as bad as the world can be.
Ikana naturally is acceptance of death, dying, mortality and ultimately going to the next life.
It's not timeless it's an better masterpiece than botw or oot first yes i like it so much and i want to play it again when i have the chance to play it next yes people think botw or oot are better i say no dudes botw is sh and oot you like are just because of the blocks you can grab
ОтветитьFuck you, mate. You made me cry here.
Ответитьthe amount of days it took me to complete kafei and the biggoron's sword, and the journey to completing it without any guides was truly something special for me as a kid.
ОтветитьMajora's mask is the only game with A LIVING BREATHING WORLD WHERE EVERY CHARACTER HAS A DEEP STORY THE PLAYS OUT DIFFERENTLY DEPENDS ON LINKS ACTIONS
ОтветитьIts 2033, you're bringing your kid you bed. They ask you to tell them a bed time story. Not about the space fox, or the engineer with the robot on his back... So you start telling the story about the prankster who was shunned by his friends, rescued by teo fairies, and then steals a mask from a man known as..... The Happy Mask Trader...
Ответитьahhhhh, memories.🌱
ОтветитьMajora’s Mask is on the Switch now BABY!
ОтветитьHow was I unaware of your channel for so long?
ОтветитьI can't believe that Zelda seems it'll never reach the peak MM did...
ОтветитьMy favourite in the series ever since it was released.
Ответитьomg 666th comment❤️. honored truly
ОтветитьOn another note, the title "Majora's Mask is a Timeless Masterpiece" is a pretty cool pun considering how integral time, as a mechanic and a theme, is to this game. Nice work, Ragnar!
Ответитьthe spin-off/sequels tend to be my favorite zelda games, specifically majora's mask and link's awakening. zelda one and two are on my list to play, so i'm interested to see how i feel about those! thanks for this video!
ОтветитьOcarina was better. Majora's Mask was repetitive
ОтветитьMajora's mask was my first ever zelda game when my uncle gave me his N64 , I can say that playing the game and seeing it is not even similar , playing it makes it feel more estressfull , more weak , yet , more calm and attached to the NPC's I wish every oen cpuld play something like Zelda MM
Ответить22 years later and I still think of Majora's mask and the deep lessons it has to offer.
Truly lightening in a bottle.

ОтветитьI really really hope that Nintendo makes a switch remastered version of majoras mask with better graphics, bug and glitches fixed, and higher quality gameplay!
ОтветитьMajora's mask was my all time favorite zelda game for the longest time (till BotW became my new #1)
My only regret is how short the game is, can't help but feel it could of gone a LOT further, because in my honest opinion, i strongly believe it could of dwarfed ocarina of time if it did.
This game is my favorite zelda game due to its setting and message, like links awakening it goes out of the usual zelda formula, in links awakening the decision of well ending a world to escape its clutches, and in majora mask how each rewind makes you really feel you failed that world 🤔
ОтветитьIt’s funny that you used dragon age 2 when talking about saving the world when that game is basically just a bunch of mercenaries living their lives and getting caught up in events. It’s a shame that game was rushed because it’s an interesting idea to have a fantasy game not focused on saving the world
ОтветитьNever understood why that had the 'Legend of Zelda' in the title. Could call it Link Together: Majoras Mask! Still saving the world, but starting at the other end of the quest, one person at a time, while becoming one of each species himself! Almost biblical in reference, if you can see it that way: becoming one of the beings you are tring to save. Sound familiar? d>_0b
ОтветитьMy favorite 3D Zelda. BOTW is definitely a strong 2nd place, but for the number one spot it's not even close.
ОтветитьI actually watched Run Lola Run back in high school. For my foreign language class I took German, and on a day before a break, our teacher decided we would watch this movie with English subtitles.
ОтветитьI loved Majora's Mask since I first played it. I don't remember what year that was, but I was a kid. I'm guessing somewhere between 1999-2002.
To this day it's still my favorite Zelda game. Followed by Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.
When I was super invested in the game I would get everything done as best I could on the last play through, kill the 4 bosses, help who I can and get the couple together. So when time finally did go to the 4th day, no one was still stuck in their problem. I sadly can't say I ever completed this challenge...
