Head movement is common sense but it’s part of the combination of movement in combat,defensive movement is very difficult to master but to pull that together and to be able to achieve the balance between defence and attack is only gained by experience.
To try and incorporate the fundamentals of orthodox boxing as a baseline will end up well like Rousey,there’s to many options and multi skilled options open to MMA fighters and they are all the total deal.
But take a world UFC champion in any weight division and eventually they will get caught .
If a boxer try’s to go against an MMA fighter it’s an easy night’s work for the fighter .
We should support,be inspired by both skill sets but ke😢them apart .

Edmond is clearly not good coach but this video fails to address Rousey's role in her own downfall. She's not just some hapless victim. She could have switched gyms at any time. She did occasionally work out with fighters from other camps, sho she was exposed to what a real MMA gym looks like but she chose to stay with the useless yes man.

I lived in Glendale for just over a year. As soon as I left (I lived around the corner from Glendale Fighting Club), my car insurance premiums went down. Glendale is both an odd and great place. And no one I knew in MMA in LA at the time took GFC seriously. The gym was mostly filled with kids' classes and then ocassionally windows all blacked out / blocked for a Rousey film shoot of some variety. I had done some training at a local gym + a couple sessions at The Yard Muay Thai (wasn't the place for me)... and everyone, EVERYONE warned me to avoid GFC.
