ROBOTECH: THE SHADOW CHRONICLES

I remembered listening to Chris meadows talkshoe podcast with Melanie macqueen… she seemed upset when ariel was recast.

This brings me back to my childhood. Growing up on Transformers, Voltron, Thundercats, Robotech, and the best 80's anime ever. Saturday morning cartoons, best music Duran Duran, MJ, Prince, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, and Depeche Mode. Best movies like Star Wars(pre-Disney destruction) E.T., Ghostbusters, Terminator. Rocky, Rambo, Back to the Future. Best TV shows like Miami Vice, Golden Girls, Cosby, and a thousand more. Oh, how I wish Marty Mcfly and the Professor would take us back to 1984😪. I feel so bad for the youth of today with the pure garbage they take in.

Robotech forever left an impression on me as a kid in the 80’s. It was the only show at the time that taught the true perils of war, death and sacrifice. It was also the only cartoon to show what it means to run out of ammo on the battlefield and the need to be resourceful. At 8 years old i saw from the cartoon war was not a game. RIP BEN DIXION, RIP ROY FOKKER. (Also one of the first cartoons to show an interracial couple.)

The voice acting is comically bad.

Robotech the series that never ages. It's a beloved series of my youth, and I continue following it and watching it's Macross counterpart. It been rumor or reported the original creator of the series, the owner is going to give the rights to Harmony Gold. Not sure why, but this being allowed would allow the production of more Robotech.

She was part alien. Haha part Zentraedi, obviously. Wish they would have touched on the Terran/Zentraedi alliance. Thanks for posting this. Robotech was the first anime I ever saw. Used to always rent the episodes from Hollywood Video, back in the 90s when I was just a little pup.

I remember being the only kid in my school who was able to watch Robotech after school. I lived half a mile from school. So I could walk home and everyone else was on the bus.

I remember watching Robotech on TV back in the early 80s then reading the novels to truly appreciate the sagas. The cartoon really kept with the storyline. I think I like the Zentradis saga most with Rick, Lisa, Minmay, Roy, Claudia, Max, Miriya, Gloval, Breetai, Khyron, Azonia, and others. Wished they made more Robotech cartoons and hopefully a movie.

This is actually the best US made anime movie based on the Macross/Robotech series, and it's a shame Harmony Gold didn't produce a sequeal which is what the ending of the movie suggested.

Although they are both masterpieces and im gonna get a lot of hate for saying this... I like Robotech more than the original Macross.

Robotech in general had a lot of promise, but the behind the scenes troubles became more interesting than the show itself.

This was a solid attempt to restart things, but this fell victim to the drama as well.

Result: Nothing. No future plans for fims, television shows or anything else. It’s with the lawyers and the courts in two countries with no indications that it will escape.

Tragic.

Thanks for the upload. A shame the CGi looks soulless. 😢 Decent story that deserved better visuals.

I only have one question Dana ,Angelo,marie crystal,sean and Bowie all are not in this louie was with that group so where the heck are the others? Theres no way the others are on the SDF-3 it left earth and did the sentinel thing before this .

Not hating on Robotech, it was my favorite when I was younger, but I have never liked the mecha designs from Southern Cross Monspedia. The bikes were ok, the fighter jets no thanks, and the ROBOTECH movie I couldn't watch. Macross was the best out of the bunch and the years have been good to Macross even as the years have gone on.

Wow i couldn't watch more than maybe 5 minutes this looks horrible ive watched he original series and this doesnt hold a candle to it im sorry but you guys lost a loyal fan ... I know it doesn't seem like much but I'm disappointed in this...whatever it is...

Love this movie. It set up well for future movies that never got made😊 I also fell in love with the theme song for the "NEW GENERATION " saga, sang by Michael Bradley (LONELY SOLDIER BOY).
