mkii vibraphone my beloved ❤
ОтветитьIs the 8 voice choir just the 4 voice male and female choirs added together? It sounds the most badass, but both the male only and female only have some special charm to them as well
ОтветитьVery nice, but nothing here a software Mellotron can't equal. Cheers.
ОтветитьCan you hear the tapes run out if you hold the key for too long? Phenomenal video, and tbh i NEED one
ОтветитьJohn Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin had said in an interview the Mellotron would get hot and you never knew what sound was going to come out of it 😊
ОтветитьWhy?
ОтветитьAnybody get Rugrats vibes from a lot of these patches? I know Mark Motherspaugh is a synth nerd but I don't recall him mentioning using a Mellotron for the soundtrack
ОтветитьAt the end sounds like Radiohead Motion Picture Soundtrack
ОтветитьFor an instrument that doesn't really claim to be a recreation or otherwise, it's actually VERY close with its samples. Plus who could say no to that insanely lovely on switch
Ответитьdababy
ОтветитьBravo! Thank you for putting no talking in the title. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
ОтветитьBeautiful, thank you for keeping it about the sounds. Grateful, subscribed. This thing sounds amazing.
ОтветитьThere are actually quite a few missing sounds that only the original company has like Gothic, Cyndee Lee Rule's Viola, Louise Davis' Cello, Steve Hackett's Sustained Guitar, Adrien Belew's Sustained Guitar, Ian McDonald's Classical Flute, Chamber Woodwinds, Angry Strings, Sad Strings, New String Section and a couple of dozen others.
ОтветитьDoes it have a sustain pedal?
ОтветитьMellotron must use real tape or it's not a Mellotron. I'm not sure what you want to call this, but it's not a mellotron. It's really no different than a VST, but perhaps less powerful. Not a good use of hardware. Perhaps it's good for live performances, but I don't see the value of it when there are so many other better alternatives.
ОтветитьI would buy this just for the choir sounds
ОтветитьA gimme!!!! One of my favorite bands - Black Bonzo - used this! Just listen to Fantasyworld!
ОтветитьI don't know why, but I love the mellotron most of all.
ОтветитьWOW! Such a versatile instrument; why’d they go out of style? 🎶🎹
ОтветитьDavid Bowie ,hero’s 😢
Ответитьthe sounds remind me of 60's and 70's movie soundtracks.
ОтветитьI want it now.
ОтветитьWhat is the sound on your intro from? Is it a digital sound or something like a tank drum? Sounds cool
ОтветитьIs a sustain and/or switching pedal included?
ОтветитьWonderful! Thank you!
ОтветитьThere is some serious Catfood build in!! 😃👌
ОтветитьWhile I totally enjoy the different voices of the Mellotron, my favorites used in actual recorded and live performances have always been the choirs. They can add so much emotion! Thank you for the demo! 👍👍👍
ОтветитьI would buy this for the flute patch alone lol.
ОтветитьEx Mellotron M4000D owner here and this is my honest opinion : as a Beatles and Oasis fan, it was a great pleasure to have this keyboard at home, playing something that says Mellotron on front and panel was a privilege for sure. And this is a great video that transmits that feeling for sure
However, that was it, this is a rompler, a sampler player, well constructed of course, but there is no way spending USD $2,000 when you get the same on the Ipad app
I finally sold it to get a second hand Nord Electro 5D, which also has original Mellotron / Chamberlain samples, and since it has all kind of stereo effects and ADSR, you can have much more sound capabilities.
I would have been an honor to be sampled into here!
ОтветитьWhat an instrument. I have a m4000 mini myself and that last key is over sensitive with the aftertouch, did you noticed that as well?
Ответитьcould you plug this into a moog mavis?
ОтветитьThe M4000D sound cards II, III, and IV are ridiculously awesome. There's a little bit of goofy stuff going on with III and IV, but all in all, five stars.
ОтветитьYes...I second that! No nonstop uninteresting unneeded technical babbling like one of those online music stores..SHUT UP,FATMOUTH and let's actually hear the instrument..not you...Sweetwater FATMOUTH..shutup and let this user show you how a demonstration video is done...I've waited up to 8 mins before I heard a note on some of those videos. Now if no sounds of the instrument are heard within 90 seconds,I dump the video and move on .NO SALE for FATMOUTH! Again...see how it's done by this user!
ОтветитьYea there isn’t 1 sound i heard that I wouldn’t use. It causes me physical anguish how badly i desire this beautiful instrument.
ОтветитьI wrote this music on a Yamaha in 1987.
Ross used a section of it on Friends. I had more helicopter and racecar sounds🤣
when you first played the brass, my first thought was "oh, that must've been what they used in pictures of a city", and as though reading my mind you began to play it! great video, i appreciate this rundown
ОтветитьThe most interesting thing in this video, for me, is that everytime you change the 'sounds' on this beautiful Mellotron i expect some really sick and deep Progressive Rock to explode in my face all of a sudden... hahaha Superb video, man! Loved it!
ОтветитьKing Crimson around 8min nice
ОтветитьOtroligt fint sound. H. Stig Österberberg från Dalsbruk i Finland
