I plan my trip to DR in december this year, first Las Terrenas, then Santo Domingo and last but not least Bayahibe.
Can you recommend whats the best and maybe cheapest (but still safe) way to travel trough the country at this route?
I've just heard about the expensive private transfers between $100 - 150 one way... And I don't know if its a good and above all safe alternative to travel with a heavy bag in the public transfer..

I have been to a lot of places," Phillipines Kenya ;Amazing, good people! They just spend way, way ,way, way too much $ on weddings ?Morroco, Bermuda , Tijuana, Acapulco Cyprus, Rome ect.. I have Even been to Arkansas, lol! There's certain places in Puerta Rico that are kind of similar to D.R. but it's more about being dangerous in certain parts ? You may get blackmailed by a Porter or taxi guy? For a few $s ?Even macheted ! Though thats very, very rare , with tourist ? It's not targeted? Theres some pretty ruthless dudes when it comes to narcotic gang enforcement type stuff!!!You go around harming tourist there. Taking $ out of peoples pockets. Including gov.!?! You won't be doing it for too long? The bus. owners, etc, if you're lucky L.E. Will F- You up ! The cops Will have to save them from the People!? DR is a differant animal as far as I'm concerned! It's as if they don't much care about their tourist industry?
