maybe you can do a video on using smart or some other software and how they differ or even how to use em in front of a system. THANKS
ОтветитьJust became aware of your work, thank you for existing.
ОтветитьWith the issues that AES50 has (the pops etc) with different cables and lengths, I’m curious if you looked at that connection point, circuit board, etc while you were dissecting
ОтветитьIs that a glassjaw shirt
ОтветитьAm I the only one who thinks the X32 buttons look "cleaner" and more visible if on/off, even though are cheaper in quality? I feel like I would much like using the M32 more if it had the same "labeling" for the icons.
Ответитьwonderful video Dave. I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to make this video to show the differences between M32 and X32
ОтветитьObviously I've wanted to take apart my new M32R just to see the inside. This is close enough! Thanks for saving me the hassle of trying to remember how to put it back together Dave!
ОтветитьHi! I need a piece of advise if you don't mind 🙂
I'm fixing Behringer xr18 with the input problem: some inputs lack sensivity and/or lack a high friquency range. I've replaced blown capacitors on power supply unit as well as thouse on a preamp board but it din't fix the issue :-( Could you be so kind to throw an idea what else could it be?
Hello. Do you have the x32 diagram of connections of the internal cables between the boards? 😅
ОтветитьNow I want to see one with a mr18 and xr18
ОтветитьHey Dave, great videos. I always enjoy watching the content you provide. Just curiuos when are you going to look inside the Behringer Wing?
ОтветитьJust found your channel. Cool video and also, at the end I could hear you playing with the low frequency tones and that just cracked me up lol.
ОтветитьGreat comparison
Ответитьjeeezzzzz...those sub sweeps realy got me at the end
ОтветитьIt's the TEN year warranty you get with the M32 versus the THREE Year (or one year if you don't register your console) that makes a huge difference too. Still waiting to get our X32 fixed (out of warranty) so we picked up an M32 because of that warranty. My ears aren't good enough to tell the difference between the two but when the X32 is fixed I will be glad to have a backup.
ОтветитьDave takes them apart and then pays staff to put them back together😃
ОтветитьIf we take apart society
Religion is disgusting
and the US Govewrnment does nothing but con people into their own slavery
Good luck with your satanic culture
The Music industry has gone to Hell
How many capacitors do you need?
Yes
Dave, your videos are the most relevant videos for a pro audio engineer that I’ve come across on the net. Thank you for your service my brother 🤙😎
ОтветитьDude, you really need to spend the money and invest in a lavalier lapel microphone. You have a lot of great experience and info to share, and when you walk away from the table we can barely hear you at times 😊😊
ОтветитьHi boss please am Michael from Ghana am having x32 and my screen is not working please can you help me 🤝
ОтветитьNice study!
ОтветитьMan you really know your stuff.
ОтветитьThe law of diminishing returns is very important when it comes to gear quality. I remember buying plastic lenses for my camera, optically they are the same but if you drop them there is a chance they will break sooner than metal lenses.
Sometimes I like to pay premium for an overall superior product, but sometimes I do not pay more if the difference is not audible in a blind test.
I've been juggling to decide to purchase between X32 and M32 L, and with this video, I know what I'm paying for.
ОтветитьInteresting, I use some Behringer gear, have never had any issues with any of it, the only thing I do not like about some of their smaller format mixers is they have real bad compressors, it is strange considering I also use a Behringer rack compressors that at least to my ears work great, yeah I know there is far better but I use what I can afford.... I did splash out for a better mixer though and got a Tascam model 12
ОтветитьHey dave, another smashin vid u r the oracle, one things for sure if i attempted that id have empty consoles and a birds nest of misery....aghhhhhh!!!!!....
ОтветитьHello and thank you for this video. 👍 do you think it is possible that Behringer made "deep savings" and modifications between the original m32 and the M32live? Thanks
ОтветитьHey. does anyone know if the two desks are using the same main processor, and if the effects processors are the same?
ОтветитьMidas M32 component looks premium than X32.
ОтветитьHave you done any videos on the Behringer Wing?
ОтветитьHey dave great teardown video ! Have you heard of the midas mr18 ? Its a 3u small portable unit , have you tried it ? Cheers from France ;)
ОтветитьI'm most curious about the A2D and D2A converters - are they off the shelf or custom? If they are off the shelf what are they?
ОтветитьI glanced away and back again and you were using scissors and I thought for a moment you were cutting ribbon cables! :)
ОтветитьDave is an industry genius. Another amazing video from the Master.
Ответитьrunning a DL32 snake with a x32 board for the midas preamps on a budget
ОтветитьThat's curious to me on the M32 on the output board; that big square chip from Xylinx is probably an FPGA and one, they're not cheap, two, someone needs to write a substantial amount of software code to run on it, and three, what is it used for? Is there some real-time processing the midas can do on the outputs?
ОтветитьWould be possible to use a input or output board from the Midas in to the X32 ?
ОтветитьI love this! Looks like a savage when he drops the screwdriver inside and takes on to the big set of shears and goes for some ribbon cables... Only to cut the cable ties, of course :)
It hurt a little when he set down the cordless drill on the inside pcb, tho.
Dave, you really should take ESD precautions. You can shorten the life of discrete components without proper ESD procedures. These desks are used at venues where failure is not an option.
ОтветитьInteresting to see the differences on the output board, the Behringer seems to be using standard off-the-shelf parts while Midas went with Xilinx FPGAs probably to implement some custom logic, that right there is going to have a major impact on cost, FPGAs are cool but definitely not cheap
ОтветитьLove the sub outro :)
ОтветитьForget memorizing everything ....
Mark , tag, and photograph .
Your pride will recover.
As you are posting the pictures of the input channel I am wondering if anyone has built something like this using the Neve topology for preamps?
ОтветитьI'm surprised that the buttons are so similar. They sure feel a lot different. My old X32 has hard plastic buttons, but still the M32 feels MUCH better. Thanks for posting this!
ОтветитьThis is a really cool and informative video brother, thank you and be safe :)
ОтветитьThis was honestly the greatest comparison vid I’ve seen in a long time…If U could do the same for these 2 4D massage chairs I’m considering…
ОтветитьI enjoyed the solo oscillator performance at the end on my Klipsch Cornwalls thankyouverymuch
ОтветитьI have a couple Allen and Heath sc series old school analog mixing boards. Any thoughts? I always wanted to open them up..
