FALLOUT 4: How Do Perks Work in Fallout 4? (Perk System Overview)

I wanted to tell you thank you for this video there was no explanations regarding how to work the perks or even that you get one point per level to assign I basically had to figure that out on my own after I leveled up a couple times and the chart didn't pop up like Fallout 3 and New Vegas assign multiple points and a perk I have to come here looking to see how this was to be done regarding the perks

I’ve played and replayed FO4 several times and for some reason I cannot unlock L05 option 7? Is there an explanation why?

And for the third time in a row… I try to get into a fallout title and fail miserably in the first hour. This perk chart is unclear, not straightforward at all. Seems overly complicated. Saving grace is I’ll get some hard drive space back tonight 😂

the perk system in fallout 4 is so flawed and sometimes does not make sense compared to the perk system in New Vegas

Im already level 11 and am trying to fill every star on only the first row🤦‍♂️
I accidentally got a strength perk below i didnt want

lol, just realised I was putting my points into speical training instead of the perks

thought u had to max out the stat to get to the perks below. damn. always wanted the local leader perk. already at lvl 19

Didn't really understand the perk chart but now I do

On some displays and resolutions the chart will not let you get to the arrow down to scroll.
You have to right click mouse , hold down and move the mouse.

Thank you for the guide.. the biggest issue with this game is the lack of help or tutoring for beginners...

could someone clear this up for me, I want to open up supply lines between bases. Does that mean I have to keep spending points untill I reach local leader or can I use a point to unlock that straight away?

Well, not level 275...about level 310 if you factor in increasing SPECIAL's with levelling up

275 is a lot of game time no easy task

if you need 275 point to get all perks, and some perks have requirements like strength 10, perception 10, and so on, wouldn't you have to put points into your special also, so you would actually need to be a little over level 300 to get all perks if you get 1 point per level.

@jv2017gameplay I hate to possibly bring bad news,but I've seen on the past few gameplay vids whereas the character was level 14 he only had eight perks. That goes to say one perk every two levels will be granted. I really hope there Are means of grabbing extra perks somehow because that would mean for us to get all 275 perks we would have to be level 550. .....That's like OVER 9000!
