I was wondering why didn't they fly it to a safer place when Russia invaded, I'm sure a country would have been happy to house it for them.
ОтветитьSuch an amazing aircraft Rest easy An225 dream
Thanks for introducing this aviation engineering marvel.
ОтветитьSuch an amazing aircraft. So sad that this big girl got bombed in the war with Ukraine. So sad. A marvel of engineering that was destroyed because politicians decided that having a pissing contest was more important that...well...LIVING.
Ответить2 engineers?
And a radio operator?!
Woooow. That is old-old fashioned!
But still awesome!

ОтветитьI hope they'll be able to build a new one, and this time maybe add some windows for the poor people in the cabins :)
Ответитьthanks for this post,
ОтветитьSo is the rear passenger compartment completely cut off from the rest of the aircraft in flight? It looks like the ladder goes down through the unpressurised area.
ОтветитьHello, capitain!
ОтветитьHello, capitão!
ОтветитьGetting out of the rear compartment ontop of Mriya during flight would be one heck of a James Bond scene.
ОтветитьThis and all of your videos are awesome, I really do hope that the 2nd Antonov 225 gets completed and takes to the skies. As far as I'm concerned the Antonov AN 225 lives on and belongs where it's best seen, in the skies.
ОтветитьMy Good friend Capt Dymitri Antanov! "Slava Ukaraini!"
ОтветитьThanks for this video my friend it was great. Rip AN. Slava Ukraine and death to the enemy. 🫡
ОтветитьDenys, Thank you so much.

Ответить"Imagine it accidentally starts up automatically and fly away with both of them "
ОтветитьWhat is the flight instrument below the airspeed indicator on the pilots instrument display?
ОтветитьTwo years ago, I had a chance to see this aircraft land at Montreal Mirabel, carrying medical supplies to support local hospitals during the pandemic. Despite all the doom and gloom that was going on then, it was still the best moment of my life.
There's so many things that come to my mind about questions about the unique features of this plane. Been thinking this for a while but I have these questions, hope you see this:
I see that the whole horizontal stabilizer is fixed to the fuselage. Normally, on other aircraft, the horizontal stabilizer is movable, with a jackscrew controlling the trim angle. With this fixed stabilizer, how is the trim angle controlled? Are the elevators and trim combined into a single system (i.e. the elevator deflection angle being dependent on the trim setting), or are there trim tabs on the elevators themselves?
If there's a trim tank in the elevator, can the fuel be transferred between it and the wing tanks, similar to how it's done on Airbus aircraft?
Is the whole cargo compartment pressurized? Can the flight crew go downstairs and access the cargo compartment during flight? Since the rear upper deck is detached from the cockpit section by the central fuel tank, how do the crew in the rear compartment access the cockpit area during flight?
Was the Buran orbiter capable of being released in flight, similar to how the American Space Shuttle Enterprise was released from the 747 for flight testing? Were the Buran-related systems still present in the aircraft (as of its last flight) or were they removed after the Buran was cancelled?
I think this is the same place where this legend was bombed by shole Russians:(
ОтветитьHi
Ответить🤩🤩🤩🤩👍
ОтветитьI had only heard about this aircraft- it was great to get the insiders tour. Thank you and thanks to Dmitry
ОтветитьThe best aircraft.
ОтветитьAwesome video thank you
Sorry she’s gone now hopefully some of it will live on with 2nd aircraft.
Thank you 😊
Thanks Dennis, You did a great job on the video. Hopefully the second Fuselage has survived and a new Mriya can be build soon from recoverable parts from this one !
ОтветитьIt was such amazing plane hope to see it rebuilt
ОтветитьYou are lucky to have documented the plane before it was destroyed. I don’t think it will be rebuilt. Did the partial Mria get destroyed too?
ОтветитьAnd thank you for making this effort to such a great video! You are appreciated and it was great to know more of this marvellous aircraft. I'm hoping that the other one may be completed some day as many people were very heart broken to hear of the destruction of the 225.
ОтветитьУ ведущего английский классный. Молодец
ОтветитьEvery video it gets bigger and bigger. Amazing what a huge airplane it was
Ответитьrest in peace, beauty
