The thing that always bugged me about this scene, was that the British actually won this battle. The square was broken, but the British were able to counter attack with bayonet charges and drive out the Mahdi. The British won this battle, but took more casualties than they would have liked. Movies often like to portray redcoats s totally incompetent in hand to hand combat, which is not supported by historical fact.

Постановщик сцены построил актеров в очень не плотное построение. Такое конную атаку не выдержит. Между солдатами не должно быть возможности "просунуть руку". А для перезарядки солдаты должны быть вынуждены сильнее поворачиваться боком. Потому что двигать руками в таком плотном строю сложно. С учётом, что в комментах многие не владеют русским языком, я постарался использовать более простые слова для автоматического перевода.
