The western flank (upstream) of the rehabilitated Mahatma Gandhi Setu over river Ganga, in Bihar, was inaugurated on July 31, 2020, by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways & Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises via video conference, and, presided by Bihar Chief Minister, Shri Nitish Kumar, along with other dignitaries.

The MG Setu is one of the oldest and the third longest bridge in the country (5.6km approx). For the first time a balanced cantilever bridge is being dismantled and converted into a simply supported bridge in the country. Afcons is proud to be part of this unique and complex bridge project, where the entire RCC superstructure was replaced with a Steel Truss Superstructure.
