Python math functions

pi = 3.14
x = 1

print(round(pi))
print(math.ceil(pi))
print(math.floor(pi))
print(abs(pi))
print(pow(pi,2))
print(math.sqrt(pi))
print(max(x,y,z))
print(min(x,y,z))

The math functions dont work (math.) Can you explain why?

Is there a way to make the output the letter instead of numbers
Eg x = 2
y = 3
print (max(x,y))
Terminal Output : y
