Who says I was your buddy and who said you were tall
ОтветитьI love a frame it's simple living
ОтветитьI want to build one, but i am affraid neighbor will said: " Look at that stupid, he build an attic directly on the foundation, did he just forgot "the house" itself?"
ОтветитьGeometric windows are actually cheap.
ОтветитьWhat I like about A-frames is the simplicity, how it invites minimalism and not owning a lot of stuff... So a lot of the STUPID-factors mentioned, aren't really stupid. :)
ОтветитьBulk shit. Stay to your own d style
ОтветитьYou didn’t think about any of this before you built your aframe? 😂
ОтветитьWhat a rant.
Obviously if you complain about having to “scale” a ladder, a frame and small and out door living is not for you.
Temperature difference will be present in a house of ANY shape if it has more than one floor.
ОтветитьThe old A frame near me has a large basement, storage, space for vents. the one side is flat walled (large a-frame) so there are a line of large (triangle inside) of closets along one side and flat walls, the other side has a lot of windows.
ОтветитьLMAO
ОтветитьYou think A-Frames are difficult? Try domes. LOL!
Ответитьjust get a 20x20 mtl garage put up in 1/2 day by a crew and spray foam on an insulated slab. $20k or if an A frame build 4' walls first
ОтветитьThinking about it but now im not sure
ОтветитьI'm an Australian architect living in 40 degree C weather right now and just finished my A frame.
The A starts half way up the build so I have vertical walls on the lower living level and a basement garage that's tilt slab (concrete).
In the winter it's heated via a massive wood fired stove with a cold air intake for secondary burn, so extremely efficient and almost free given the abundance of constantly replenished fuel in the area.
In summer it's cooled top down via inverter splits. Heat can escape via remote controlled windows at the top and the cold air falls to the living areas.
The only issue is cost. It cost slightly more to build, but maintenance is more expensive, especially cleaning the Oregon exposed frame once a year for dust and cobwebs.
It looks like none of the cheap kit builds you see everywhere else, which is why there are people taking pictures of our place every day. It's gorgeous.
I sense you have a misunderstanding of why they have existed for hundreds of years, the main reason they aren't built much here is the cost.
My man, with al due respect, whats the purpose of this video? I want an a frame so bad
Ответитьhah mate, those houses,in Bulgaria are, used high in the mountain, were have big snow,if is not snow, why you build this?
ОтветитьI was getting ready to criticize you harshly for your clickbait title and unbelievable claim...but then, two minutes in, 3 minutes in, you're absolutely right 😂🎉 Great video 😁
ОтветитьHe talks just to talk...
ОтветитьGreat warning! Appreciate the useable heads up. Lots to think about 🤔
ОтветитьSpiral staircase
Ответитьnice hat stupid host
ОтветитьGood one!
ОтветитьI'm still building an A frame as chicken coop. Its just so much faster, lest materials, and the chickens not going to care where to put their furniture.
ОтветитьMerci beaucoup 🫤😅
ОтветитьA frame dont need more space but less risky than full concrete it has dis - advantage
ОтветитьCheaper in the long run by combining roof and walls..they are quaint cozy, and completely different...make sure to install a circulating hot air ducked system and ceiling fans...and enjoy
ОтветитьA frame are for rent not for storage 😅
ОтветитьJust to mention by some common sense. The A frame is more stable because the angle goes from the ground, not from vertical structure.
Ответитьsomeone hates glamping 🤣
ОтветитьIts all about the look. Also you have to build out the knee walls
ОтветитьIt's not dumb...it's for some people
ОтветитьIt's not storage..what is good for who appreciate the design.. Stupids are those who thinks in advance what he needs .. Stupids are those who think negatively..
ОтветитьYou make some good points, but 5/6 of these can be mitigated with some extra effort.
Ответитьd1 hating
ОтветитьThank you for the reality check!
ОтветитьTriangle window solution: make your own with poured epoxy in a triangular mold for paving stones. You wouldn't even have to remove it from the mold, just mount the whole thing into your window frame. VOILA!
ОтветитьHalf way thru your video and I'm convinced not to go that route.
ОтветитьOnly pack rats need lots of storage space.
ОтветитьI can't wait to build my a-frame 😅
ОтветитьI can’t take advice from someone wearing a Von Dutch hat.
ОтветитьI lived in an un insulated a-frame home with 2 floors in the desert mountains near Bend Oregon. The wood stove just had a stove pipe in the center with a stove pipe shooting into a slanted wall. There was a regular staircase that was opposite the slanted wall in the center built against a bathroom wall at the back. There was a surprising amount of storage in the kitchen and the built in cabinets upstairs. The windows were glass sliders on front and half the back. Porches nice living room. We only ever heated with the wood stove but the house seemed pretty evenly warm. It stayed as Icey cool as you wanted all day in the summer without any air conditioning. None of these issues happened. I think we just got lucky
ОтветитьDuh none sense
ОтветитьI built 3 micro A-frames and a shared deck with room to add more units for $3500 in materials mostly off of Facebook Marketplace and it paid for itself in less than a month...... as a resident landlord by occupation, this is the most efficient build I have ever done or heard of..... You seem to be going on about living full time in one rather than short term rentals
ОтветитьA frame houses are very strong buildings because the floors are tied off against the wall frame also the two roof planes make the walls so overall they are a far cheaper to build. If you want more floor space decrease the pitch of the walls.
ОтветитьHater
ОтветитьI grew up spending many summers in my Grandpa's A frame. I absolutley loved it, easy to maintain and deep snow never stuck to the roof. Now with the heating, he's right anout ipstairs being so jot compaired to downstairs. Easy fix with mini splits and circulation ducting.
ОтветитьBruh why did came out, I just wanted to build one in minecraft
ОтветитьThis rant seem to come from someone who is very conformed to the capatalist materialistc mindset. You seem to take for grantade that the person wanting the A frame build is A) A materialist in need of storage (storing what?) B) not a craftsman or having the interest in building it themselfs.
The only "real" argument here is they way the a frame handles temprature distrubution in multi storied situations but that is the case for all multi storied houses. I so very few downsides with building a tiny a frame build and this video didnt give me any reasons to doubt that.
This is an older video of yours so I hope you've dropped a part of your self that is clinging to the system and is bound by money an material things.
