Poor show for a £80k vechile !!
(3.0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel
Model: Land Rover Defender 130 D300
Engine: 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel MHEV
Power/torque: 296bhp/650Nm)
MK1. 👍
ОтветитьMk1 is the way to go.
ОтветитьMk1 all day long.
Ответитьim currently building 2 tracsport semi-helical 5 speed boxes for customers of mine.
ОтветитьMy garage van was a mk 2 it had the full 2litre capri running gear and suspension with escort mk 3 injection interior all sign writing it was a great advert for my garage
ОтветитьEvery one is doing Mk1's Go the Van. and finish the beemer !
ОтветитьMk1 was my 1st car, have to go with the car
ОтветитьThe van not being ready for a year is what makes this a quandary - personally the van is better sleeper where you can show off your work, it's not as common as a car so will attract more attention
ОтветитьMK 1
ОтветитьMk1 all day long
ОтветитьThe MK1 has my vote could be used for track days and has a good resell value
ОтветитьIf you want an advertising Escort it would be the Mk 2, I'm biased and would have the MK 1 as I learnt to drive in one. I never really liked the Mk 2, the only one that didn't do it for me.
ОтветитьMk 1 far better option
ОтветитьGot to be the Mk1, it's a no brainer !
ОтветитьMk 1 any day of the week 👍👍
ОтветитьVan is WAY more interesting!
ОтветитьGo for MK1, you already have 2 vans and a MK1 with the lotus engine in would be great for track and road and promotion, the MK2 van sounds good but MK1 sounds better
ОтветитьHello lee, Yellow mk1, had mine for 52years, 1700 twin 40s, 5 speed, will send picture later, recovery Pete.
ОтветитьInvest in the business not toys.
ОтветитьGordon Bennet Lee!! I think you’re going through life with a bad dose of the I wants,,,, restrain yourself!!!!!
ОтветитьHas to pump out 200+ ponies to make up for the power loss from all the DPF and other such gubbins. My 2.0 transit eco blue goes ok for a big van but you just know it won’t be long lived like the previous 2.4tdci transit
ОтветитьDo the van as a decent sleeper with traditional painted sign writing then enjoy it. eff the money pit Beemer off and rag the kit car for a bit longer.
ОтветитьYellow MK1 - Drive and enjoy 🙂
ОтветитьWasn’t the bmw a running usable track car 🤔😂
ОтветитьMk1 !
ОтветитьMk1!
ОтветитьMK1 all the way 😉
ОтветитьThey both appeal to me!!! Then, I'm a project sponge. Maybe the Mk2 is a better platform for the business?
ОтветитьPictures of both .
ОтветитьThe six cylinder Ingeniums have been around from 2021. They are currently fitted to new Defender, Range Rover Sports and full fat Range Rovers. I am informed that the later fours have been modified are now a lot more reliable
ОтветитьPersonal choice would be mk1
ОтветитьWhy don't you do something little crazy with the mark II escort van. Go outside your wheelhouse and put a Ford Coyote engine in it. I'm telling you there's nothing like V8 power and a small body vehicle.
ОтветитьAs long as the mk1 is two door and not four ??
ОтветитьMk1 all day long, you already have a shop van in the tranny, a full steel lightened and balanced 1760 xflow screamer on twin 40's, yes please or go the whole hog and put the BDA in, rocketship
ОтветитьGo mkI Escort, you've got enough to do with the BMW, let someone else do the van 👍👊😎
ОтветитьSafe your money and put into the business stop playing with toys they don’t earn you money they cost you money
ОтветитьI'd have van get it all sign written up great advertising tool
ОтветитьJLR couldn’t design, build, source a reliable engine if their life depended on it. Now they’re going electric with their track record of shite electrics.
ОтветитьMK1 for me.
ОтветитьMk1 2 door is a gorgeous car.
ОтветитьGet the Mk1!!!! Van's are ok but they are not track cars they are for rooting your missus in the back of, checkout the Sundowner Escort Van from Australia
ОтветитьDon't forget, MK2 Escort vans are actually MK1 Escort front ends with MK2 wings, if you look into the radiator grille you can see the MK1 "spectacles" still there so you could fit MK1 wings and front panel for a quick MK1 retrograde. What does look esp cool is RS2000 snoot, even better if you went down the route of a Burton upgraded Pinto. Of course an Essex V6 can be made to fit but you have to wiggle it in a bit and like any upgrade from the Kent build where the gear lever goes, you will need a new gearbox cover so you can fit a 5 speed type 9 which should bolt onto anything Ford engine. I remember too in the eighties a mate who shoehorned a 2.0 Essex V4 into an Escort and that thing went like liquid fire. Thats the beauty of old British Fords is you can pretty much put anything in 'em, have even heard of a MK2 Escort with a Rover K series V6 which was insane.
ОтветитьGo the Mk1, you don't need another full-on project, less stress more joy!! 🙂
ОтветитьMk1 every time
ОтветитьMk1 all day long for me.
ОтветитьMk1 escort
ОтветитьMk1 sold mine 10 years ago
ОтветитьMk2 van go for it something different 👍👍👍
