I did a Google search on "the heaviest known lion" and came up with this result:

Not forgetting Siberian tiger's fur is from head to tail thick fur where the lion's mane is only the head. Take away the weight of the Siberian tiger's fur at least 15 to 20kg. It's about the same size.

A lion is not a tiger it is a big cat. They shouldn't put the phrase "the biggest lion(or tiger) in parenthesis instead of the biggest lion( or cat) in parenthesis".

I've always said it, siberian tigers weight is greatly exaggerated by biased people. The truth is there is very little difference in size and weight between lions and tigers. If both cats are fed equally they will be similar in size and weight!

This video would be better if you didn’t spin it by underlining and making conclusions based on only one tiger weighed. Just my two cents. This also should indicate to people that they vastly overestimate wild weights as all these cats are huge and it just goes to show you how big a 200kg cat really is let alone a 240kg cat. Any cat in excess of 240kgs that isn’t fat or bloated with food is an absolute stud, for lions or tigers.

In wild lion not that big it just around 150 - 200kg and tiger 180 - 250kg tiger has more bigger that's average of them but some species can grow up to 300kg but that's not average

Seen many videos.. Final conclusion- only siberian tiger is little heavier than lions as they gain so much fat to survive there, but all other tigers can b easily defeated by any lions..

All of thoose cats are well fed,a little bit overweight. In a wild African Lion,you can normaly see their ribs. A wild Sibirian tiger would normaly have a little bit more body fat because of the cold climate the live in. The average weight of a wild male African Lion is 186 kg. The average weight of a wild male Sibirian tiger is 197 kg. So when people talk about 250 kg Lions and 300 kg tigers,they are most likely captivity cats. Thoose cats rely on speed when they hunt,so if the cat is 300 kg they would only be able to catch humans ;-)

There's a captive tiger by the name of Illai, a white Bengal Tiger yes a Bengal Tiger not an Amur Tiger and He weighs 300 KG. By this I'm assuming Tigers are generally more bulky than Lions if the biggest Lion this page which has almost 9 million followers has is only 240 KG compared to 300 KG of Illai.Thanks you cleared my doubt i thought Lions were Bigger

That tiger is still a baby tigers easily cross the maximum weight that lions get to they are fully independent predators they need a lot more muscle mass and bone density than lions cause in case if he gets into a fight with a lion in the wild he will have to fight multiple lions at the same time so nature took care of it made him much more powerful and ferocious.

This video actually doesn't prove anything. Not a large enough sample size. There could also be human error in how food is distributed amongst the cats.
