I used to use F7 to access spell-check, but that's stopped working. Can you help, please?

I'm so God dam sick off having to type everything 5 or 6 times to correct the mistakes the autocorrect makes. I hate the guys guts with a passion who came up with it. It DOESN'T WORK. And it did in this comment. It Fs up what I type every single time and it is a nightmare out of the bowels of hell.
