I traded my Honda CRV sport 2023 to Mazda CX 50 2024
Mazda CX 50 handling is way way better in snow
At about 45k both of them will need to have the Belt Tensioner replaced and it will cost almost 600 bucks, Mazda refused”to take care of this at no charge, I called corporate and they also could care less
ОтветитьFor Mexico te price tags between CX-5 fully loaded and CX-50 only version make a considerable difference... About $6K.
I see that's an artificial differentiation as if they belong to totally different segments.
Which ever one you get don’t buy from car guru because you will get hosed…when you could literally spend an extra couple for the same thing new!!!!!
ОтветитьIt may be built in Japan, but I would argue the parts are the same, plus the CX50 turbo has a 3500lb tow capability, could be useful for small boats and utility trailers just a thought!
ОтветитьWe recently bought the Mazda CX-5, and while we love the comfort and handling I am perplexed at the rear seat access for USBs and seat heaters in the center back seat console. You have to have the center console down - which means that if I’m running my skis and board through the center or have a 3rd passenger in the back seat, there is no access to these features. Shortsighted design in my mind when it comes to occupant ops, not sure why these weren’t located on the front center console at (I assume) the rear vents as shown in this video in the CX-50. The loud persistent beeping for seat belts is also annoying, as is integration of Pandora in the infotainment menu.
ОтветитьToo bad no hybrid 😢
ОтветитьI was going to get a CX-50, but when I got closer to purchasing and really looked into the two of them for my need, I realized the only plus category in the 50 for me over the 5 was looks.
The 5 is some 10 inches shorter in length was was actually an advantage for me as I don't need the additional room, and the 5 would fir better in my garage.
The CX-5 has an independent rear too, and that's a plus.
So, CX-5 it was for me, as I just brought one home the other day.
I do love the 50 too though, and if you need the additional space it affords and have the room for it - go for it!
Love, love, love my 2024 CX50! We have the preferred (non turbo) which comes in 17" wheels which rides much softer than thd 20" wheels
ОтветитьI think the CX-50 is a guinea pig model to see if it will outsell the CX-5. I guarantee that one of these models will be discontinued in the near future.
ОтветитьI just test drive both today. The seats in the CX-5 were much comfortable. I think, the CX-50 looks better, and I loved driving it, but I couldn’t get that comfortable in it.
ОтветитьTorsion beam for CX50? A big freaking no..
ОтветитьBought a 2024 cx5 Carbon Edition in Dec. I love that they've only made improvements on what is already a really good platform. The infotainment system is very fluid with where my hand is. The one thing that is uncomfortable for me personally is the armrest, if i could move it forward so my elbow could rest on it, that would be great.
ОтветитьThat is the major thing Mazda is missing - a hybrid in these. The CX-9 is too big for many.
ОтветитьWe just bought the CX 5 premium plus and like it very much . We chose it over the rav 4 and crv after test driving all 3 .
ОтветитьBlack plastic cladding does not look premium.
ОтветитьI will be looking at getting a used CX5 Turbo S or Signature depending on rates, since the CX5 has been out longer used ones with the 2.5T are easier to find and cheaper. Also the CX5 shares its platform with the Mazda 6 I currently own which has outstanding ride and handling balance (especially with really good shoes) and I still prefer the design and interior of the CX5. Both are good though.
ОтветитьLove both, but I gotta say that the camera doesn't do the 50 justice. Every time I see it on the road I gotta do a double take.
ОтветитьCX5 badly needs a redesign. That design has aged.
ОтветитьCan we get a CX50 compared to Audi Q3 or Q5?
ОтветитьYeam cx-50! I bought one & love it!
ОтветитьJust can't get past all the plastic cladding on the CX-50.
ОтветитьCx50 is not bigger inside, the appearance is deceiving but it’s a beautiful SUV , I purchased a CX9 instead, more space inside.. I test drove both vehicles, I was going for the CX50 but changed my mind to CX9 … you can’t go wrong with either, I prefer vehicles with no sunroof, I never used them but after a while they start leaking.. The reason I would recommend a Mazda is because of the transmission, they don’t use CVT .. I own 3 Nissan vehicles and all 3 I ended up replacing the transmission, I will never buy a Nissan again
ОтветитьI have a 2017 cx5 and it has been outstanding. Looking to get a new cx5 but waiting for the hybrid. What is the delay?
ОтветитьI would love a CX-50 in my garage this year but I live in Australia and unfortunately it’s not coming here, no matter how much I want it. Currently I drive a CX-30 which I love but I would like a little more space for when I go camping. The CX-50 fits the bill and I love the look of it much more than the CX-5. I believe there’s a new CX-5 coming, so I’ll wait to see how that looks.
ОтветитьCan’t understand where he is coming from with comments on the infotainment system. There is absolutely nothing frustrating about it. Rotary dial and surrounding buttons are easy and intuitive to use. I find I can use without taking my eyes off of the road. It is touchscreen with apple carplay and android auto. Again…very simple. Not sure what he wants out of a system.
ОтветитьOne is built in USA and the other in Japan. A no brainer.
ОтветитьJust bought the CX50 signature edition (Mexico so different to US). Im moving over from Hyundai as the Santa Fe here is $15k more expensive than the CX50 and the Tucson is about the same price as it but with alot less space. Im sad to leave Hyundai as had them in 3 continents and always reliable but Mazda has products at a better value for money price point and so Im making a change.
ОтветитьI'd pick the 50 over the 5 just because I think it looks better, especially on the outside.
ОтветитьMazda should bring over the CX 60. The CX 70 debut was a dud just a CX 90 with 5 seats don't know why they did that.
ОтветитьIMO, the CX50 competes with the RAV4 while the CX5 is for buyers looking for something more stylish. Amazing how the CX5 design has held up so well.
ОтветитьMulti-link suspension is obviously better than torsion beam
ОтветитьBought the 50 because it looks cooler
ОтветитьHaven't driven either one but the cx50 just looks so much better.
ОтветитьBought CX-50 non Turbo Gt -Canadian.
Love it
I personally find it weird that they're still selling the two alongside each other when they replaced the CX-3 with the CX-30 and the CX-9 with the CX-90, I just kind of feel like the CX-50 should just be the fifth generation small crossover from Mazda, with that first being the Tribute, then CX-7, CX-5 1st gen, CX-5 2nd gen, and now the CX-50
Ответитьi had a 2021 cx-9 and i wanted to stay with that car alfter lease but the buyout was crazy. the cx-90 was too big of a car for just me so i felt like i had to downgrade to a cx-5 or cx-50. i ultimately ended up with a 2021 cx-5 turbo with forward facing camera sensors and wrap around camera. with all the same features as my cx9. ive yet to get to liking the car but i must say its very nice on cornering and it gets up real quick especially in sport mode. The leg room is ridiculous im 6f1 and the seat literally cant be adjusted or go all the way back as a cx9 or cx-90. Its good on gas and easily swtich lanes without considereing the dimensions of the vehicle. Just wished the design especially in the frontal gril was more aggressive more masculine like that of the cx9 or cx-90. Good car but im still not sold maybe i should have gotten the cx-50
ОтветитьWe already got the 2024 CX5 Select model and for us it is a great car even though it doesn't have a turbo like the higher models but it is fast, fun and easy to maneuver 😊
ОтветитьNo thanks on the hybrid.
ОтветитьJust test drove this Mazda, and all who have found the steering to be heavily weighted to steer. I have found the perfect solution, turn off the Traction Control 🚙🏎. Using one finger you can now make tight turns with ease.
ОтветитьThe infotainment system is nice because its comfortable to operate no leaning forward to touch the screen my screen stays clean and finger print free cant believe he said it was frustrating to use a day with the car doesn't make you a great reviewer. The cx5 rides higher the cx50 rides like a sedan which is weird just looking at it from the outside. I own the cx5 and did drive the cx50 for a while the cx50 feels a lot wider on the road as well.
ОтветитьI've got a CX-5 Signature just coming off a lease, so I'm still deciding on whats next.Another CX-5 or the CX-50. I'll let the numbers fall with the new lease and let that decide.I like both. The 2021 CX-5 is a fun to drive car, passing power and handling. Not to crazy about that infotainment controls still though, its just too had to get used to with the GPS and all. No where near as user friendly as the Challenger or Jeeps that I've had.
ОтветитьHave a 2020 CX5 grand touring. It's small. My son is 6'3 (long legs) and not alot of headroom or legroom. It sounds like the 50 doesn't have comfortable second row seat for long trips? Not sure what I'd choose.
ОтветитьYes, I want a non plug in hybrid
ОтветитьCx-5 mpg is 31
ОтветитьIve had a 2024 cx5 for 3 months now and love it. Went for the signature for the turbo and it’s honestly pretty quick for the class
ОтветитьCX5
ОтветитьI'll pick the cx-60 over these 2.... If I had the money of course 😂
ОтветитьYou gotta watch... because the infotainment is only annoying (slightly) at first while setting things up but you will appreciate that once it's done, It's done. The music takes a bit to boot up on my 2017 but I always give any engine at least a minute or two to warm up, the music takes about 90 seconds to play bluetooth music, but I also didn't opt for carplay, so it might be faster. These cars are just a little better than anything else it's price.
